I`m very new here and am having great difficulty with my chip shots from green edge/close. If I have a 12 ft chip play that according to meter, the shot never makes the green. Why?

There are quite a few factors that come into play with short shots like that. The best thing you can do is read the Chip and Pitch Tips in the FAQs. It's a good read and will answer all your questions.

On that particular shot you mentioned, the first bounce with a chip has to be on the green and chips don't carry but about 40% , or so, depending on lie.  :-)

If you're not adept at reading greens yet, you can always flop.

In this game the wedge is the most important club in your bag, especially for the lower tiers. Take a while on a hole that you like and practice all the different shots available with your wedges and take notes. If you do it in practice mode you can make use of the mulligan feature too.

An enhancement to the mulligan feature I would like to see is the ball remaining where it finishes, so that eventually after say twelve mulligans, you will have twelve balls on the green.

That would be cool, and it would also make u have sufficient balls in ur bag to do it, unless u were using the starter ball.

I think the time has come for WGT to sell balls in dozens at a discounted price, that is how it is in real life all over the world.
