I don't know if I have a method as such, but I do use the focus a fraction before the ding, and let peripheral vision take over.

If the shot requires to be held up in the wind then I definitely focus on hitting on the windward side left right wind , then left of ding, same on putts. I have never holed a putt left right breaking where I have missed ding on the right side.

Which is my dominant eye, hmmmm, I'll have to think about that.

I never aim for the ding. I watch the meter come down and hit either side of the ding to allow for the wind direction. When I do hit the ding it's often by mistake and the wind will take it off into the rough.

I do the same for putting, I allow for the break.
