    Virtual Player/Course Notebook

What about some type of virtual notebook that would follow your account and the course that your on.  Where you could click a button while in game and make notes about a certain hole, green, fairways, player.

Then when you play that hole, green, player again, a small icon next to that hole description or player would show up. Alerting you to possibly hover over the icon and see: ok, this fairway rolls real hard to the right on tee shot, or watch out for this green my wedge wont stick the shot so play it short for a roll off, or played player b4 and quits often, or this player was quite vulger last time i played them.

I play online poker also that allows a sort of "player notes" section.  the really cool thing is then when you happen to be playing that person again a red tick mark of sorts pops up next to his name letting you know you have previous notes about that player.  Any reason why you couldnt adapt that from a poker environment to golf? Heck even on the REAL tour, the players carry a notebook on them with notes and yardages for every single hole on a course.

I know there are going to be those out there that say, why dont you just use a notepad like they do, or a spreadsheet or such.  Think of it this way, the courses, x18 holes each, thats like 150 holes or whatever.  Thats one helluva spreadsheet to scroll through and find each time, and look at, decipher whats best, then make shot. All while keeping the timed shot in mind. That doesnt even count all the different players out there that you may or may not want to make notes on.

I truly believe this should not be a very difficult addition to the game, nor take up much room on the server since it would be mainly a txt format with small icon for an alert. However it would be a HUGE improvement to the game and enjoyment for the players.

Just a thought, but would be a great addition for us memory challenged people, that, yes may be a little over analitical when it comes to a shot, but dont we ALL strive for that "PERFECT SHOT".

Any thoughts on this suggestion WGT??????

Thanks, cya all out there,  Mjr76ks0005

I use a pencil and paper. Quicker and easier I'd have thought.

works fine for a small amount of notes, but if you are like most competitive people and want to keep notes on any/all holes of all courses to TRY and reach the "PERFECT SHOT" each time, you would theoretically? have to thumb through all your notes in a very short amount of time, and what if you were writing down notes about players that you enjoyed, or had a rough time with? you would be fumbling through ALOT of notes as compared to just hovering over a small little icon next to there name or that hole, and in literally 2 secs you would hve any and all info YOU have recorded instantly.  Thus less post-its, paper, etc. and it should NOT be that difficult to accomplish this small add-on to the game.

I respect the opinion, just not sure how in ANY way, pencil and paper would be quicker OR easier than moving your mouse over an icon to check out the info you have entered regarding that hole/player??

    just my opinion

Should be nearing release. WGT announced two months ago that notebooks were scheduled to be added to the game in 60 to 90 days.

See the "Upcoming Product Releases" over there in the right hand column for other things scheduled for release soon ----------------------->

I like the idea of adding a "player note".  Might add that to my list of things to do to my notes program.

Yeah, if you throw all your notes into a single spreadsheet in Excel it would be a mess.  If you organize your notes its quite quick and easy.

I have a workbook (a spreadsheet) for each 9 holes of every course.  Inside the workbook I have a sheet for each hole.  Inside that sheet I have my notes for each hole.

So when I play Congressional back 9 I open the directory where I've saved all my course workbooks, click on Congressional back 9, click on the sheet for hole #10, I'm there.  Next hole I click on the sheet for hole #11.  Simple.

I have both the stroke and CTTH courses covered.  You could have one workbook for notes on people with each person's notes on separate sheets within the workbook.

I've found having Excel open during game play uses no CPU resource to speak of so it does not affect the meter.

I can develop a WGT notes. Anyone interested in buying ? if i set price 20bucks how many buy?.

Will give my own free meter pal also as bonus. if 100people asked for it i develop.

WGT notes is generic app , can be used as pc notes. Meter pal is specific to wgt.

if WGT adding notes then i do not have to waste my time though. :)
