    DrSlick:
curious on what putters some of the big guys would recommend

Leave that 1 for them.  For my 2 cents a quick look through the leader board reveals a few work very well in the right hands.

    DrSlick:
for a gent that aims and then off dings according to feel.

For me the new HL Mallet competes with the L92 Ghost (usually looked at as ding style putter), just with a faster meter and 600 credits extra.  If that's the case definitely not for you IMO!  The new putter I doubt will be for me either, but people wanted the extra choice so can't complain at that.

    DrSlick:
away from the inexpensive Rossa that would give me 2-3 strokes per 18?

I am just in to L95 and happy with my L70 Versa for now.  To your question though I don't think any putter does that.  There are threads where top players have posted videos how they do it.  I think watching those and practice will be worth more than any putter upgrade in itself.

    +1 Jim

All putters in the right hands will make any putt. Watch some of Priestess and Notonthis's vids for sure.

Both of these players could putt with a stick...lol. Would not matter one bit.

Also one of these players likes to putt with a different putter all the time. That alone is something to behold. Dude can put up crazy scores with any putter put in his hands.
