So the minimum number of ranked stroke rounds is no longer a requirement?

    It may become circumvented.

Yes, it still is. This guy used what Alosso called circumventing. In the battle against sandbaggers, WGT has deemed if you can beat a Legend in MP you should be a Legend. His average being as high as it is leads you to believe he isn't that good. NOT. He played the system and since sandbagging at the Legend and TL levels is pretty much non-existent he discovered a way to mislead you.

If you have a friend or friends that are legends. All they do is let them beat them in stroke play....beat a legend 13 times and well there....a legend is born.

Maybe I'm missing something. I get the whole "trying to eliminate sandbagging" thing, although I don't know the algorithm, nor agree with it, whatever it is. I was referring to the OP where the screen shot indicates that particular member hadn't played a single ranked stroke round between Pro and Legend. If the minimum number of ranked stroke rounds is still a requirement, they shouldn't have moved up - it doesn't matter how many matches they win against anyone, regardless of the opponent's tier.

Just from the OP's screen shot, and assuming that player spends their time concentrating on Matchplay, I'm inclined to believe that "stroke" rounds are no longer the requirement, and ranked matchplay rounds are being counted as well in meeting the minimum number of ranked rounds requirement.

Either that, or there was a glitch somewhere along the way... twice.

As a TP you beat a Master-you're going up. As a Master beating a TM-you're going up. As a TM beating a Legend-you're going up. This is the scenario that gets around the ranked rounds requirement. You don't need to play ranked rounds to get there this way. As I understand it, MP for credits is what triggers it.

So if I'm understanding correctly, you only need the minimum number of required ranked rounds if you choose to go the stroke play path. If you choose the MP for credits path, the minimum ranked rounds is not part of the requirement.

Doesn't do one a lot of good playing from the Legend tees at level 23 when you can't even purchase equipment that will get your ball to the fairway, but hindsight is what it is. Circumventing requirements has its price.

Thanks YJ & Happy Thanksgiving  =)

I think you guys might have it all wrong. I found a LVL 60 Legend a while ago, wondered then but moved on. Took a bit but I found it again.

2 MP games, 67 average, a total of 21 RR's with only 1 as Legend, 1 as an AMAT and 1 as a Pro.

Did not look like it was cleaning anything up except the 1 round as pro was a winning RG.

But the MP record showed as follows.

    VS. Legend 1 - 1

04.16.13 Legend Bethpage Back 9 Ready Go Back 9 Legend 35
04.16.13 St Andrews Back 9 Ready Go Back 9 All Players 32
03.19.13 Pro Congressional Full 18 Ready Go Full 18 Pro

    59

Everything is never as it seems here. Likely an obvious Multi that was moved up rather than shut down.

Wonder if the legend had some juice?

funny thing is, that player shows up on my blog link showing another sinister problem with peoples morality relative to wgt - your guy is on my guy's wall posting a comment lol
