FYI folks. . .     Running Windows 7 and  IE 10 (just so that is known).  I have found two sure fire ways to "smooth" the meter (which was stuttering for me).  Two software programs (either work).   One is NetBalancer-  https://netbalancer.com/   Only problem is that I have an older version (6.72) and the newer version does not seem to work for me.  The limited use "free" 6.72 version works (if you can locate it or the author will still provide it).  It runs as a service with a GUI interface.  However, all you need do is to have the service run at start-up and with no other setting tweaks (priority changes ,etc.), meter stuttering stops.  The other program is Game Booster Pro- http://www.pcbooster.com/solutions/game-booster/   This program does not have a service that runs but in the same way as NetBalancer you just need to run the program(you don't have to even "boost" anything) and just by having the program running the meter is smooth   Truly!   Only frustrating thing for me is that I can't figure out "why" these both work in the way they do and the program owners do not know either!  Ha!  I have tried to find out and research on my own but no luck!  If somebody can answer that it would be great.   But just "run" either program and ya got a smooth WGT meter!   MRK

    What am I doing wrong?

    1. I use Firefox

    2. I use Skype, but i have it on my laptop and i play on my desktop.

    3. I have my desktop dedicated to WGT. I have nothing on the desktop except  WGT.  I never "surf" the net, I have no Email. I do have malware bytes and spy-bot on the computer.

    4. I clean my flash and cache at the beginning of each day. I also do this after reading the forums, buying credits, looking at the pro shop, sending or reading PM's,  and after every 4 or 5 games played.

    5. I use another computer for Email, net, Excel, Word, etc.

    6. I'm just a mediocre player, but  I NEVER HAVE A STUTTERING METER

    What about your game play options? turn off all the crap you don't really need. this is what i use that helped me;

    under display                                                                            under advanced

challenges - off - focus on your game                                  angles - off

boost - none - cheat move                                                      background - off

boost on green - off - cheat move

flash quality - i use high but if still issues go lower

    lessons - off - I'm already great

distance markers - off - I'm not chasing butterflies

aerial multicam - on - view of the shot from top

aim arc - on - helps line up shot better with trees around

camera pans - on - looks better

reflections - off - who cares

putting grid - off - it will still show when putting

hole info - off - i have eyes and can see

ball trails - on - just because

flag animation - on -  to view wind speed correctly

end messages - off - don't have time to read

"both" pal displays - off - be a man

    surveys - kick rocks

Also if your game opens in new tab make sure to close the main page tab

now if still having problems try this:

1- hold down power button for ten seconds

    2- close lid

    3- wait about 5 minutes

    4- log back in

    5- go to bestbuy.com

    6- buy new unit

7- wait by door for delivery

8- drop old unit in dumpster

Remember play all you want but don't confuse Chaka

I thank everyone for their comments. But, you mis-read my post. The first post by another member was talking about loading up 1 or 2 programs to eliminate meter stuttering. There seems to be a dozen plus comments regarding  this problem every day. I can't help not believing that its their computer more than it is WGT, otherwise it wouldn't be just some with problems it would be 100%.

I guess I was trying to be a smart ass in my posting. If you read it again I'm simply stating that  I NEVER DO HAVE ANY METER ISSUES. My meter is always smooth as silk, it's my playing that stinks.

I was trying to show how I maintain my computer and I think what I do is why I don't have a meter problem, other than an occasional fast meter, again at my age is the meter fast or are my reflexes slow.

Again I thank you for your responses.

I use Firefox and within my own CC all Tournaments, our daily alt/shot matches, and our new match play ladder,  my meter's usually smooth as silk.

    Here's the catch, for me anyway;

Every single time I go to the weekly free tournament page and enter, I get nothing but a jumpy, stuttering meter.  Just now experienced the worst meter I've had in months, playing one of the weeklys.  Needless to say once all that garbage started happening I blew the round off like an ugly girlfriend.  Funny thing is as soon as I went back to the confines of our club tournies, low and behold, smooth as silk again.  To think I put myself through this crap for almost a year??  WGT can put each and every one of those freebies where the sun doesn't shine, because as far as I'm concerned I'm sticking to the action within my own club.  The few pennies they threw my way for credit wins, whether RG's or weeklies they are more than welcome to have back, it's not worth the grief to have to put up with meter issues.  Thanks for the memory's WGT, plenty of other suckers out there. I admit that I was for awhile, but finally smartened up.  Slow learner I guess.
