Been playing about 6-7 weeks, wondering what the consensus was on equipment upgrades.  Is it worth buying some of the more inexpensive iron sets, drivers, putters, etc, or just save up and upgrade to more expensive stuff once I gain the credits?  Appreciate the opinions.

Been playing a couple months now and have upgraded my driver, 3 wood, irons and putter - not the hybrid yet and also the ball,  the ball flys better and farther than the original equipment and you can put more spin on it to make it stop closer to the hole.  I wholeheartedly recommend that you upgrade.  Do some surveys to get credits to spend in the pro shop or spend a few bucks to upgrade

If I was in your place, I would get the g20's lvl 59 , those will take you to legend

and equally  important get some wedges, the starter wedges will teach you nothing.

the ping wedges are good at 200 cs a piece, or even better the atv's.

starting with the 64 and 60 degrees.

use the search for previous post on this as many have asked the same question, and there is some great advice out there!

first upgrade would be a good choice for search.

My general statement on this subject is:

Low level buys tend to become pointless too soon. Whatever you want to buy,
look out for the possible better equipment available at a higher level.

But now, at lvl 52, you are well past the inexpensive equipment, aren't you?

    in dependance of your budget,

you have a choice of quality wedges from lvl 38 (ATV or Ping or Cleveland),

you have a choice of decent putters above 500 crs (and close to the level 55 Rossa),

you may buy the R11 clubs of level 31+, or just wait for the coveted lvl 59 G20s.

It may also be a good choice to select some cheap custom balls, B-ES or Tour-SD - real smashers against the Starter ball.

Anyway: Hit it straight, and have fun!

What i found important were wedges, playing from shorter tees you can land closer to pin with decent wedges.  i've sent you a set of Ping wedges for you to start using and get used to until you get a high enough level to buy better clevelands or atv (i prefer cleveland) Didn't know what to send a putter or wedges, but found 3 x wedges would benefit you better than starter wedges.  At least the wgt starter putter will still sink putts, but the starter wedges run for miles!!

Having these new wedges has been great.  The long par 4's (450+, less if into wind) that I cannot reach in 2, I can now really drop that 3rd shot near the pin to get a par.  Thanks again!
