Championship Greens

     One of our members made a club tournament and was able to apply Championship Greens at Merion. When asked how he managed to do this he did not know. I have looked at the set ups and can not figure this out either.

  1 Was there a glich in the set ups?

  2 Was this possable only because it was during the Black Friday Era?

    My other question is WGT seems to be able to have "No Wind" on some of there Tourneys. will this ever be offered in the CC tournement setups?

  I thought it was only possible when "random" is selected.

  I am not sure to be honest. I know that we dont play to have no wind right now, but it could change later on.

  Occasionally Champ Greens come up on the random settings but I've only found it twice this year in around a thousand.

  So you set up many tourneys by "random"? Could you please explain why?

  My CC mates would be disappointed to see too many slower green speeds...

  One would never dream of second guessing Ms.C's reply,  but I'll make an exception on this occasion, perhaps variety/fairness to all?

  We have an ongoing tour within my own CC where every tournament's settings are also randomly chosen.

  Yup, some do have a rant from time to time (including myself as I'd like to see my own tier's green speed being an option)  but it seems the fairest way to include all in the fun.

  Personally, I've yet to see champ greens appearing when opting to go down the random settings route.
