as of late when i hit a flop shot with full backspin, regardless of the lie, green speed and elevation,my ball is still running out 4 to 8 yds. Any tips on how to get it to stop?

Is it with all wedges or just the starter lob wedge you have in your bag?

If it's with the starter wedge, the roll out is to be expected.

use wedges with at least 3-4 dots of spin. ping( the 200 credit ones) good for lower level players, cleveland or atv best at higher level.

    Look!

    He has two HL Clevies!

While a flop with a Starter wedge is more like a high pitch with a lot of roll (see a replay), the stopping function depends a lot on the balls. Me thinks that perfect results require perfect balls, i.e. HL Nikes.

I get best results on a flop using the Cally s balls.

    Full backspin stops dead.

    2 THINGS

1- How do I change my age in this game ?

2- This game has some bugs, the ball stops eny where, so dont worry, just play the way it is,no matter what you or I try, the ball goes any where any time. Now If you SPEND MONEY here, the ball stop and does all you wanna.

This is a bussines NOT a game !!!

I''m using the 56 and 64 Max Spin wedges with a wgt-sd ball. I don't put any b-spin on the ball at all, if it's in the f-way. The only time I use full b-spin with this set-up is downhill from the rough. The ball stops on a dime with these wedges. On a flat green, I can put full back spin on a ball and back it up about 30 ft off a green. I know because I've done it.  I like the Callaway balls, but they get expensive. the WGT balls run 90 credits as opposed to 450.......it adds up......gl.

I see you have two Cleveland wedges. I use the Clevelands too. I have a 52, 60, and 64 degree wedges.

The flop shot is my best shot. I expect to get it within 1 yd. I never chip.

I use the Nike (lv71) ball. I never put backspin on them. I think there is only one hole where I know it's difficult to stop that I might put some on.

I never flop more than 29 yds. The 64 will flop up to 20 yds and the 60 degree up to 29 yds. The 52 wedge will flop up to 47 yds but that's more unpredictable, I'd rather punch those shots.

Always hit the ball a long way left. I just miss the ding a lot to the left. If you can see the green slopes from right to left, you can make allowances for that.

    It just takes practice.
