I ought to be able to turn off the game client music and still hear invite alerts.  I mean sure it's got a good groove and you can dance to it and all.... but I should have a choice if I want to listen to it or not.. (EDIT...and still hear invite alerts.)

Also, invite alerts should sound different than when some on the friends list goes active/inactive.

I think that turns the lobby music back on as well :-(

I miss lots of invites because of this also and believe they should be seperated :-)

oh, another thing :) - wouldn't it be lovely if we could see what 'type' of game a blue/ready player is wanting.  Apparently only the player that selects a blue game type knows that.

    odd

Gmaster - thanks for taking the time to respond and the graphic...it's appreciated, but when you mute the game you mute everything and can't hear invite alerts.

I wasn't very clear in my original post, my bad -

I should be able to hear invites when I turn the Client Window music off, like this... (menu/game settings/audio)

Even in this configuration, with the "Invitation Alerts" checked, and with the music volume slider full down....You can't hear alerts (bold is for WGT) -

With the "Invitation Alerts" checked, I should be able to hear invite alerts no matter what setting the music is on.

Invitation Alerts should also be a slider, rather than just on/off.

i wonder if leaving sound on at the top and moving all the sliders to the left yet leaving the invitation aleart sound on will do the trick?

trub is - i think we still hear the same sound for friends going green or whatevs

you were very clear, and so was I :)
if you watch this circle and arrow in the picture,
you'll see that it points to the music note, which is a shortcut
for the music volume slider that shows in the picture you've added.
I didn't know it kills the invitation chime too, because I mute that as well,
since it's notoriously known to be a meter assassin.

if there is a way to separate them i haven't found it ! my one real complaint and the reason i hardly ever go green any more .... and yet you still can hear birds and airplanes with just the game client open even though i turn both down ...
