I'm 68 - used to be a Navy Carrier jet pilot - my reflexes are also slower than they used to be
PLAY WITH THE FREE WGT BALL - work on getting close to the "ding". - It will cost you ZERO.
Don't worry about not hitting the "ding" - get as close as you can. When you are as close as you think that you can get, move to a ball with a slower meter (I already recommended the Callaway 33)
Regardless of your scores, the $6.00 Max slow ball is a RIPOFF. On average, you have to complete 5 of the stupid 120 credit surveys to 1 sleeve (3) of these things. Time one of those surveys - aren't you worth more that $2.00 per hour??
If cash isn't a problem - disregard all of the advice given on this thread : )
Seriously, you have to know that as we age - we lose a lot of what we used to have and cannot do things that used to be easy. One thing that I have not lost is my competitiveness - this damned game is not allowed to beat me - but at the same time time, I'm pretty sure that I will never beat it!
Press On & have fun don't get worry about scoring 27's on 9 holes or 50's on 18 - heck, if PGA pros can't do it - why should you?
