I think there's a solution here with respect to cheaters and multiple account holders . In my opinion it should be very simple. Stay with me now.  Wgt should make it a policy, that in order to play in R.T.G or any other tournaments involving credits, for that matter, that you must maintain a country club membership in good standing, and hold  "the country club"  accountable for it's membership activities.  Impose appropriate penalties for breaches of the rules i..e fines to the "club" and or  banishment's of all its  "membership"  from future entries into any other WGT tournaments until the issue is resolved. Believe me "club" owners and good standing members would clean this problem up easily if they thought they had a member that was trying to get into his or any one of our pockets by cheating.

Yes, let's have a good old fashioned witch hunt followed by a lynch mob.

Thx, but as the numerous threads at WGTLS will prove, lets leave the hunt to WGT individuals are too stupid to be trusted.

Individual members even if country club captains cannot be trusted with any kind of authority.

We already have members here with a stop watch on the menu bar and their version of proof is so far beyond stupid it's not even funny.

Which leads me to ask, what would your version of proof be?

What proof have i seen individuals here stating and I'm sure it would only get worse should we give them more power.

    1. Menu bar was greyed out for 7 seconds.

    2. He shot a 58 after 3 months, no matter if he was level 90 or 30, 3 months is 3 months

    3. He shot par as a hack. Does not matter if it was his 3000th round or not, shoot par as a hack and your dead.

    4. He gifted someone. (Looking at sebicu profile he must have 3000 other accounts)

    5. 3 greens in a row his approach was within 5 feet.

Basically I know of at least 1 country club whereby the captain would make this claim of anybody who shot better then them and boot them.

So again I ask, what would you consider proof? By the way careful, because your own history falls squarely within so many peoples circle it's not even funny, don't think with any kind of hunt, you would be holding the gun, but rather you would be sucking the barrel.

First off let's just set the record straight. I was merely making a suggestion. It appears to me to be a very sensitive subject to some. However that being said, based on your post, i get the impression that this bothers you as well. I didn't intend to start a "witch hunt" followed by a "lynch mob",  just an observation based on all the posts I've read on this subject. It would be naive to think it doesn't go on. But I digress. Couple of things in you post i couldn't comprehend though, what does a menu bar grayed out for 7 seconds mean, and what history of mine is relevant to this subject.  The only thing i participate in is the free tournaments and country club events no credits. Been around the block a time or two kid. Touche'

    +1!

    My points:

Would the company profit from punishing their customers?

Would all CC owners accept the task of WCP - WGT Cheaters Police?

Answer "Yes!" to both questions and you know that you have a good concept.

Ideas on how to solve are always worth raising, but this one would never work as it would be this:.

If I something has been missed please do elucidate exactly what methods would be at hand to CC owners, and how exactly would you perceive it working in practice.

Lets not go down the route of the Victorian Police (in Australia) - Shoot first then ask questions.

Kangaroo courts do not work, so why the hell would we let a CC Captain be the Police, Jury and Executioner.

Yes there are way to many multis, but lets leave this up to WGT. If you have any suspicions, let Icon or DB know - they have more tools at their disposal than we do.

I now just accept, that anyone who plays better than me (most of WGT players) must be cheating!

I will never accept the fact i actually might suck at this game  :)

It's too bad that a "suggestion" turned into a firestorm of anger?  I have no proof of cheating or of multiple accounts, nor does it bother me. I don't want to believe that there are cheaters out there, but it would be terribly naive to think not, when credits or money is involved. Seems to me there's only two options. Either clean it up, or stop it all together. But an avg. of 1'1" distance to hole for 18 holes, and a total putts round of 20 is, somewhat suspicious if you ask me. Far too many variables in this game to be able do that at all, let alone on a regular basis. Just an observation!

You have a list of names that do this? You should be screen shotting it and sending it to WGT I am sure they might act.

Like to share which courses/wind/green speeds you are noticing people one putting 16 holes after lots of hard work? A TL has the audacity to one putt like that? How often is regularly for your expulsion purposes?

    akk447:

Your average distance to the pin is 23' and 1 putts not even 20.  I would be concentrating on improving that. Cheating is not required to get way way better than that.

    akk447:
I have no proof of cheating

Exactly - Gee whizz why come up with ideas to counter something when you even admit it would be hear say mumbo jumbo. Why not ask for help to improve, not assume / wish to accuse because of what?  As you you have NO evidence...........

    akk447:
    into a firestorm of anger?

    akk447:
    Just an observation!

No firestorm, just a strong reaction to a very flawed idea, and now and equally flawed, just being straight with you, quite ridiculous observation. All in favour of rooting crap out through proper channels, but dead against nonsense witch hunts which by your own zero evidence admission is exactly what this would be.

Again, I reiterate it was only a suggestion. I have no evidence to support any of my "mumbo jumbo" if you will, just a desire to be sure this game is fair for all. And my sincere apologies to those who I may have offended in this thread. Just thought i'd be interactive with the wgt  community. Shame-on me for trying. Shame on you for crying. Never again will i post anything on this site for any reason whatsoever! Get a life M8 Out!
