Don't need any aid or to inspect my replays like Hercule Poirot on coke.....When I see the fireworks and the word "excellent" then it's a ding.....the sticky wicket Christopher originally posted about is when hitting the ding actually turns out to be a dong.

Hitting ding's about as reliable a guarantee as Porky Pig reading aloud a verse of Shakespeare's Richard III without stuttering.

LOL  TBE   Yup you are correct there for sure. I have rented these level 97 Nike irons for two days now.

More dongs on ding hits then i could count. I will not be buying these irons. I will stick with my R11s for sure.

I am so glad for the free rental period,, because i would have without any doubt wasted 40 bucks.

Thanks WGT for the free rental. $40 will buy plenty balls.

    chrisironsbones:
Ask it why a player who used to consistantly score sub 60 and make $ in 70%+ ready go's and 80% matchplay and credits always went up suddenl;y in last few months has to WD from most ready go's and the ones i dont i only score pathetically and NEVER win $.

Thing is Chris, you don't HAVE to WD, especially so early...sure I could see you WD'ing on 14 or 15 knowing you won't even be in the credits, but on hole 2 or 3?...c'mon man...even in a 9holer that's pretty early.

Might just be the way I'm reading it, but you tend to WD pretty early if "it's not going your way".

I know it has nothing to do with posting a 32, etc.., but stick'em out, build some momentum.

    I'm curious:

    1. How do you know exactly where he is aiming. Considering the marker does not show up on replays.

    2. The OP here is claiming that he is placing the marker in one spot but yet even when he dings, the ball starts out on the wrong trajectory. Isn't this what you are calling a bad shot?

Please correct me if I am wrong but this is what the entire thread is about. But yea, I am real curious as to how you know where he is aiming? If it by the balls trajectory, and the OP is claiming he in fact did aim opposite then I say you are wrong?

The majority of these posts are trolling this guy because he has yet to show proof of a video. They know this happens and do not refute it as you can see. No one is denying it happens they are just ragging him. Although I don't post much I read daily and keep up.

Even if this guy did show proof they would say "It's just a game" or "crybaby" or some other comment to treat him as a fool.

AS for the topic. This happens all the time when you ding. As someone stated 50/50. I don't agree with that but I'd say 80/20. And of course your clubs precision is going to have a lot to do with those percentages. Been this way for a bit. My g/f quit playing because of it.

OP has a valid argument. But misery loves company. He's venting and hoping for changes.

    Good post mate.

Yes... everyone here knows this happens i'm afraid. I guess they jump on Chris because he is always complaining about it.

I myself have complained many times about it.... most call it the " ding bug ".

If he did provide proof,, like you said,,, he would be blown off,, because everyone knows it happens....lol. Would be like........ o well...yup.....lol.

Now then..... for the knowing exactly where somebody is aiming,,, and hit ding in a replay......i'm still waiting for YJ to help us with that dicey situation.......LMAO!

Hopefully... somebody is reading my free tips from earlier post in this thread. If not the situation could get dicey in a hurry.

    ;)

but it's not a bug mate.

think of it this way.......you're the game programmer and WGT employ you to come up with a viable solution to combat these autoding programs, what you gonna do?

obviously the first port of call would be to tamper with the ding :)

it's not rocket science why hitting ding these days doesn't guarantee the same precise results like it did 18 or so months ago.

what do people want? remember all the posts regarding autoding.....autohit...perfect ding bla bla, well i think wgt has done something about it. sure it's messed things up a bit for honest players......but it'll have effected the autoding cheats far more because they can't putt for chit.

get the coders to reload how ding used to work in the knowledge that the autoding enthusiasts will have a field day?

or leave it as it is, meaning autoding programs are rendered pretty much useless?

i say the latter is the best way no matter how much of a pi$$ off it is.

just think of hitting the ding as hitting the sweet spot of a club in real life as opposed to hitting the toe or heel.

i'm no WGT butt ki$$er but the reprogramming of the ding (not a ding bug) it's the most workable solution for WGT.

in a strange way, it makes the game more realistic.

if hitting ding guaranteed you the best outcomes all the time what would be the point of playing RG's or even this game for that matter. 30 folks shooting 52's in tourneys and the one who got an eagle on the last hole wins on the countback lol.

that's not the way i'd like to see the game progress.

i know the wtf ding shots can be a huge pain in the A hole.....but i don't see any other way WGT could combat the autoding programs. sure there are some stupid autodingers out there but there is a program out there which dings regardless and is uneffected by meter glitch or stutter and is undetectable apparently.

on that note i'd just like to say i'd never cheat. i'd rather come last that resort to cheating my fellow golfers.

if anyone else has an idea on to how wgt could revert back to the old ding BUT combat autoding users effectively, please, by all means let WGT know about this. I'm certain they'd give it serious thought.
