  Yep, "around' is the best you can hope for.

  Neither wind direction nor speed is constant during the flight of the ball.

  Few tail winds are exactly on the line of the shot.

  An 18 mph tail wind that averages 45° to the line of flight of the ball during the flight of the ball acts like a 12.5 mph wind.

  Another factor is the % of ball spin.

  It's hard to tell where exactly on the ball 50% back spin is. I've gotten much more careful when using top or back spin on the ball since I realized that very small changes to the spin can have a pretty big effect .

  Another observation is that the effect varies depending on the loft of the club.

  LOL. Good one. All they really need to do is to put a number on the Nikes like there is on the Callaways.

  I love the new nike irons. They've taken at least 1 shot off my game. I also switched to the level 61 nike ball from the level 81 nike ball. I think the less spin makes the distance a bit more consistent.

  Very difficult Irons.    There has to be a bug with those Irons.  Slower meter is great, but shots are hit or miss.  

  They play like the Bladz, which I had awhile back to try something different to the fast meter speed of the R11's.

  Nikes are good for the shorter game...ctth's and blitz...   normal stroke play games, then there is a few probs.

  I think I've gained a shot or 2 which each game using them.  I will stick with em...  there are still shots I do, that I go..wow.    Just learning how to use em prorperly, might take time.

  Second that. I use the Level 33 Callaway and my average has dropped almost .30 since I got them. Finding them exceptional for the way I play. Give them rounds over days to get the feel, they really grow on you.   :-)

  Yes the highest spin Nike balls are useless for the Nike Irons. They make headwind shots so unpredictable.. They might be bang on or 20 yards short.  The best thing is to switch to the lesser spin Nike balls and your strokes will get lower again.  But as everything else, Wgt give with one hand and take away with the other. I mean because they are more precise, you might get the odd WTF shot extra thrown into your round.  BUT use lesser spin Nikes and your nike irons are just like R11's

  I'm with Mantis and YJ. I am going to learn how to use these. I have made some amazing shots since these were gifted to me. I have made some terrible shots because I have underestimated or overestimated them. I just need to learn what they will do. I guess if you have a Ferrari you need to learn how to drive it. LOL.
