Even after all my bitc*ing about this game truly the only thing I think is fkd up is the competition stand point.

Sorry, I forgot to mention I'm a TM.  I do play with a lot of legends though.  In ALT SHOT on the rare occasion I have to hit from the Legend tees.  As I stated before, I do practice from the Legend tees too.

You're right on point and I couldn't agree more.  And, you shouldn't apologize for wanting a level playing field.  It's not bitching when it's stating a fact.  Ok, so what if the tone sucks for some people.  You're a paying customer and you've got a right to complain.

When you go up a tier your average goes back to square one, so the first score you post is your average. I made TM and shot 75 in my first round, so that was my average.

if you want to make legend at least wait till they have a driver 300+, your gonna need it.

That just simply isn't true Sargen. And WGT will never implement a 300 yard driver into this game, at least I hope not. With the new R-11 clubs and even the R-9 drivers, a lot of the holes on all the courses from the black tees are driver - 7, 8, or 9 iron to the pin. Not to mention the various golf balls that offer optimum back-spin.

Sure, there are some holes that play 175 to 190 yards to the pin, but it isn't something that can't be overcome with a few practice rounds. Sarge, you and some other players are making the Legend tier seem like a suicide mission. Its not that bad at all. It all has to do with getting the right wind to execute a great shot IMO.

Take the par three third at Bethpage for example. You can use a 3 wood in a head-wind and stop a Callaway on a dime three feet or closer to the pin. There are many more examples as well that will prove the Legend tier isn't much harder then the Tour Master level.

The information Tess shared is very good knowledge to know in order to play this game with a degree or two of success as well. I and others I'm sure applaud those players who are looking for a new challenge as they advance into the Legend tier.

The views from the Black Tee's are awesome ! ! !   Get to see more of the course now with longer more scenic walks! !  Some Par 3's almost impossible to hit even with a driver that hit's 275+ yards ! !   When putting on a 10ft putt,  you hit for a 2 ft putt and it goes 30ft past the hole.   Don't mind the extra distance on the holes but the green speed needs to be looked at by the WGT designers , very soon I hope too, before someone slips and falls on the green and breaks a leg and has to consult an attorney for legal action.

    ROFL

never saw this before.  i actually don't mind the faster greens, but barely making the fairways on some drives reminds me of making (original) master w/starter clubs.  brutal.

lol, Richard.  You're replying to a 15 month old question to a dude who was last seen in 9-2010... not withstanding that he's prolly a multi-accounter anyways.

But to answer the question retroactively, it was indeed a wee tougher to hit approaches as a Legend way back when.  If I'm not mistaken, the best driver was a TM Supertri, i-15 irons and no Cally ball.  I never really warmed to the i-15s, but kept the G-20s right up to when I switched to the Burners.  As you might remember, the longer irons on those sets playing with the WGT balls had no brake pedal on them.  It's true also that back then most tourneys were played at vf green speeds instead of tourney, but that wasn't much of a relief.

    No,

Nothing wrong with that.  I think in general it's best to play'em all.  After 1.5 years, I still suck at Oakmont.
