I just have a couple of suggestions that I believe would enhance the game.  I think they would be very easy upgrades as well....

    1)  I sometimes play with less expensive balls to use a faster meter.  Then when I go back to my regular balls the meter seems even slower than usual.  Kind of like a batter in the on deck circle swinging his bat with a weight on it.  I have been playing with WGT balls and the ones I use come in different colors.  Exact same ball just in diff colors.

I would suggest that the balls be kept together and available for use in your equipment list.  In other words, if I am playing with my last white WGT ball of this type and I had purchased some red balls of the same type, then the red ball should become available if the hits on the white ball get used up during the round.  Do not separate out the same balls just because they are different colors because spec wise they are the exact same balls.  This way players could experiment with different colors and not have to worry about going to a house ball should the ball be taken out of play because of hits.

    Make sense ?

    2) Allow rentals of clubs that are available above the current level the player is at.  Let me give an example of how this could be good for both the player and WGT.  Of course WGT would get the credits charged for the one day rental.

Example: I am currently at level 94.  The new Nike V-Forged irons become available at level 97 (long way off for me).  However, let's say I could rent these clubs.  I rent them a couple of times and I find that I really really like them.  This could give me an incentive to purchase XP or level up boosts so that I could get the item sooner.  WGT would obviously benefit from this and I would as well since I feel this piece of equipment would improve my game enough to make me want to grab it sooner.

If I don't like the clubs, then I would just level up as I normally would and WGT loses nothing, but they stand to gain if I had been able to rent the 97 level clubs while I am at my current level 94.

    3) Allow equipment rentals for more than one day, and maybe provide a discount for doing that.  Example: If I can rent equipment for 450 credits for one day, why not provide an option of renting it for 2 days at say 675 credits (which would be half price for the 2nd day).  Sometime I might rent something to see how it plays, and then something in "real life" comes up and I wasn't able to use the rental nearly as much as I would have liked during the 24 hour rental period.  If I had it for a 2nd day that problem would be resolved.  Also I tend to play more rounds while renting to give the new piece a good workout, as I think most players would.

    4) Give some volume discounts on balls.  Example, the level 81 Nikes that I use cost 550 credits per sleeve.  For 3 sleeves that would come to 1650 credits.  Why not say that if a player buys 3 sleeves at once they can get the 3 sleeves for say, 1350 credits which would be the equivalent of a 100 credit discount (1.00) per sleeve.  Again I think both WGT and the player would benefit.  I think WGT would sell more balls and the players would get a break on the price if they buy in volume.

Would like to know what other players think of these suggestions.

I'm all for that.  I have single balls of the same type but different colours in my inventory due to some being gifted to me (or obtained otherwise for some reason), and it kind of annoys me that they aren't automatically selected when I lose my last ball of a given colour.

    Yeah, yeah, I know.....money.

    1) Good idea if the ONLY difference is color. Unfortunately I think WGT programming sees each ball color as a different ball just the same as a switch from a Srixon to a Nike. To overcome that maybe the substitution should be allowed in practice only. Then players could switch freely between all balls in the equipment, doing side by side comparisons and using up the oddball leftovers. Practice only because otherwise unscrupuluos players will be finding ways to substitute balls with different properties in order to take advantage of unsuspecting honest players

    2) Rental clubs should only be allowed in practice mode. Otherwise a low level Hack or multi-accounter can rent high level clubs and fleece people out of credits as well as dominate the tournaments. Your suggestion makes sense in practice mode only .

3 & 4) Outside of the Putter Pal, Shot Pal and complete club sets the concept of quantity discounts seems to be lost on WGT. Longer rental periods is a decent idea; quantity discounts on buying balls by the dozen has been proposed often over the years.
