I was playing in a tournament and proceeding nicely, (something like par, eagle, birdie, birdie, par) then I got to the next hole and missed the meter hitting my long approach shot too far to the left and landing in the mulch up against a tree. No angle to hit the ball anywhere as it was pretty much embedded in the tree.
When I hit it it bounced of the trunk and stayed in the mulch.
In golf the choice would be to play the ball from where it was (which was impossible) or call it 'unplayable' and incur a penalty stroke. WGT doesn't give any options. You just have to withdraw from the tournament or if its UP restart the whole thing.
I would like to suggest that in such circumstances a player could go to the menu and select unplayable shot and the player could then play the shot from a default playable position (two club-lengths from the spot) incurring the penalty stroke.
