Read the on the golf channel site what it said. It mentions Pinehurst too.

Was trying to post the link.... but failed...lol.  Damn i had it working but now...ahh.

Anyhow you can go to the media site is on link from first page. Read the whole thing,, don't say anything even close to playing Pebble in stroke play.

Nope, just another gimmick, and to make WGT look good to the advertisers!!

    Woodoworkery:

They're trying to lure more new players. Yes, you can bet the farm a lawyer had his hand in writing that.

Sorry boys no Pebble Beach full stroke this year

It really depends on how you read it, certainly written by a lawyer lol.

Follow my WGT philosophy - Expect Nothing - this way at least you avoid disappointment!.

It's not always the lawyers! This stuff was written by PR hacks. Give discredit where discredit is due.

(says a "former" lawyer and sometime PR hack)

But it is nice to see the commitment to roll out stroke play at Pebble Beach, right there in black and white with the Pebble Beach Co's name on it. WGT wanted to give us Pebble Beach for the 2010 US Open but could not swing it (presumably legal barriers), so we were given Oakmont as a (superb) consolation prize. Not sure WGT would wait over five years till the next US Open there to launch Pebble Beach stroke play if they have the Pebble Beach Co. on the hook and could launch it a lot sooner.

Time will tell, the company won't.

The only reliable information available is that each year a full US Open course is planned be added.

    This would be

2015  Chambers Bay, University Place, Washington
    2016 (OAK) - replacement?
    2017 Erin Hills, Erin, Wisconsin
    2018 Shinnecock Hills, New York
    2019 Pebble Beach, California

Launching Pebble in advance (e.g.2016) would only pose a new problem in 2019 (if anybody thinks this far).

Daydreaming, I think of the Open Championship courses of the upcoming years:

    2014 Royal Liverpool, Hoylake, England
    2015 (STA)
    2016 Royal Troon, Ayrshire, Scotland

Hoylake and Troon would be big fun for sure!

An Ayrshire links course would be great, won't happen but Troon or Turnberry (pic.) would be fantastic.
