  A solution without a problem.

  Play 3 or so practice holes to get full shot, chip, pitch, flop and putting warm ups.

  I read the whole thing.  Got excited and was chomping at the bit to find this and assumed it came in the last update.  Read the last two lines and I deflated.  goll-dang-it.  Would be excellent!

  I think it's an interesting idea but I wonder how many would use it per say...

  The real green + practice would take some time to identify and likely not be consistent, so it may create more issues than it solves.

  As far as a feature, I think this is something fresh and new, I just don't know how many would play it in such way. Usually, when we play, we get together, tee off and off we go :)

  What do others think?

  where I get 5 minutes or so to warm up and take some practice putts. 

  Many have already basically asked for this. Currently you turn up at RG and the first one do ya best and go from there.  I go firm and hope not too firm...

  Although the practice green provides a baseline read on the course green speeds, individual holes will have slightly different green speeds.

  Many are saying that's already the case although here it's just random. Add some rhyme and reason fine by me.

  Just like in real life some greens are consistently a bit faster or slower because they get more/less sun, or more/less wind

  And sometimes only in places, and watered carefully to mitigate and so on.  Might be a tough one but in theory worth exploring more - Yep +1 from me.

  A great idea and would add some realism and I think many would use a feature such as this. 

  The the minor tweaking required by the programmers would not take long but we are talking about a company that will only make changes if there is a buck to be made.
