    Wetrichsrock:
There have been numerous times when I have been playing, and a ball that I hit is perfectly visible

Hmmm, so you can see exactly where your ball lands 300 yards away? I wish I had your keen vision.

    Wetrichsrock:
Make the player choose a general area to "search" just like in real golf.

Big difference - this is just a computer GAME not real golf.

I understand it is frustrating losing a ball in shallow water etc, but how on earth can the programmers change this without major changes. I have in the past put forward ideas for a lost ball, but will not change IMO.

Best advice is keep the ball on the short stuff.

If they'd allow for less ball loss each ball would inevitably rise in price - same(?) financial result, more complexity, more error sources.

    Would you want this?

Our avatar can't be moved around on the screen. Well, except the Game Settings, Avatar Angle option.

So how would we caper around on the screen to conduct our 'search'?

My idea would be to have a grid like on the putting green that you could click on a patch of grass and the grass would "push aside" allowing you to "search" for your ball. I understand that this is not likely to happen ever, it's just an idea.

you sure you've not been smoking that patch of grass?

This is a simple fact. And it won't change. What I would like to see is a price reduction based upon volume. But the only advantage wgt could garner from it is if a player purchased a one month supply only to pass away before using them and keeping the advanced cash flow.
