Hey I played someone a couple days ago, he started with the starter ball, I offered to drop, he said why, I said I did not think you wanted to play that ball, he said thats the ball I play and thank you. We traded birdies and pars all the way to the ninth hole and I was playing well. This guy was good, very good with that ball, I was extremely impressed. He a had a bad break on 9 though. But of the years I have been here, he was the only one I ever seen play that ball with success.
Kindof like the free putter, I have yet to lose to that putter, guys are pretty good with it, but theres always that putt or 2 that just slides by the hole. Crazy they are, but hey.
Not sure why anyone would want to play for credits with that ball, but to each their own i suppose.
If this happens to an opponent of mine early in the match, I always offer to drop, no matter if I'm up or not, but not after I have already smacked my ball 15 times or so, balls are not cheap here, and like someone said, it's not as if they had no warning.
