I initially just shot a couple of practice rounds with the new dots...and they were a bit much to take in. Then a couple of CC tournaments...on Kiawah, and they seemed to help there.
Having shot a couple of tourneys with the new dots now...it is getting better. I do think that it is easier to use with the new dots....HOWEVER, doing it in the middle of a single play round2 of a tournament was not cool. I was having a lot of trouble with close in putts. The bigger dots made it a bit harder to tell exactly how much to counter. I burnt the edge on 5 close in birdie putts(inside 10ft.) in the Transamerican Tournament. And, while it is my fault I missed and shot what I shot, it was not the best move to change stuff up in the middle of a tournament...I think.
Those 5 strokes would have meant the difference of tied for 57th, and tied for 13th....major difference when it comes to the payouts. A difference of almost 900 credits.
Dots are ok and will be gotten used to...but horrible timing WGT. If for nothing else, the psychological factor of feeling things are different.
