When you move the aiming marker towards you or away from you it shows you the changes in distance from you. On the green, there should be a way to tell how far the marker is from the pin. Right now there is no way that I can see to tell how far you moved the marker side to side to account for side winds.

There's an aiming marker? No wonder putting eludes me.

Actually there is. Chose either pitch or chip and the putting grid will be shown. Each square is supposed to be 2 feet x 2 feet. With the pin in dead center of the first grid. Figure out how many feet you want to move the arrow from the pin and then move your aim arrow counting the number of 2 feet squares you move. Remembering that the first move is 1 foot due to the pin being in the center of its grid. It might not be perfect but it is not bad either.

I agree with you Joe.  That method you mention is the best approach to handle all cross winds.

Also you don't want to worry too much about side winds on greens. Unless it's a long putt and a strong wind the deviation is negligible.

I assumed he was talking about lining up his approach shot from the fairway.

Yes, I was. I didn't mean when one is one the green and putting.

similar to when playing the real game which this game tries to replicate......golf isn't only just about measurements, it is also about feel......keeps it interesting......
