With anything change can be hard. A lot of very good suggestions have been made to WGT on how to make improvements or I should say, what things are wrong with the game now.
1. I know WGT is listening because there beginning to respond to many of the posts. Communication like that is important. When there isn't any response like in the past we feel alienated.
2. I do like the fact that the scores are coming up. They are more realistic for our better players. Say like the top 20% of the legends.
3. The good players, (some tour masters and up) are having trouble dealing with the newer conditions. They either don't have the time to practice with that much diligence, there computers just wont allow great meters, or there hand eye coordination will just never be that consistent. Most of the good players in this category are masters, and tour masters. Should each tier play in its own tournaments? I say yes here.
4. WGT has to balance how many people to have in each tier. Too many and the competitive environment gets diluted with to many players not up to that level, hence complaints about clubs and such. To few and there isn't enough competition or are too few players for tourneys and ready go's.
5. How should we improve clubs in a fair way. Maybe sale shafts in the pro shop that will give you different ball flights, distance, exc. Do we improve the balls. Do we think about what we really want for maximum distance for our equipment? How do our yardages compare to the avg. of say the top 25 players on the PGA tour. There is some room for improvement here.
6. When WGT finally adds stance and lie results, and the ability to draw or fade the ball, how would these changes effect the scoring.
I could go on and on. This is really complicated ain't it?
