Wish you could set default increment for a putter?

  I rented a putter today.  That rent putter has a default increment of 15.

  I don't use 15 .  I use 25.  The only default putter that uses 25 is L19 Spyder.

  Math question.  What is 1 divided by 15? Hurry!

  The answer is .666666666666666

  How much is 11.5 ft putt times the number above?  Hurry!!  Faster!!

  Who uses 15 anyway?  It is crap!

  Now lets do it my dumb, stupid way.  1 divided by 25 is 4!! (forget the decimal)

  4 times 11.5 ft putt is 46. And that is your swing number (give or take).  See how fast and easy that was?

  Well why doesn't dumb stupid me just change the increment?  Because I have been using a default setting of 25 for 18 months.  That's why.  And because I am looking at length of putt, break, up or down inches...and trying to figure out if I need to miss the ding or move the mark, or both.

  And having to change that dumb putter from 15 to 25 is just a waste of my valuable time.

  I think that each putter should default to the lowest scale. As for the different putters the increments are shown in the Pro shop.

  Actually the correct answer is   0.0666666666666667..........ever fraction is critical in this game LOL

  So not a putter you would recommend then:)

  Loads like it and fine with those increments.  Focus on learning green speed / elevation / how your chosen putter behaves to those.  BTW the Ghosts are veering ding things and loads of threads on that........

  Sorry M8 but a rather silly post.  You need to learn to putt, and also learn your putter spending time with it's attributes.

  Get the Putter Pal or VGG Caddy.

  Don't forget to factor for the green speed in your calculations.
