We get the same shots same putts over and over and over again get a notebook or whatever and write down what happens from 11ft on this hole left right behind or in front on every hole every speed every green. There is alot more to practice than you think.
This is huge advice for consistency. Yesterday AM I was playing great, all by feel, last night, wow I stunk up the joint, this AM first putt, wow, stinking some more, out come the notes, out went the feel and in came a 58 at CCC. Me I would of been lucky to break 70. But it was me.
Some days are better then others, somedays i can come on here, and know, I have this distance, this wind, so it's going to be this club, this spin, so I better play this much wind movement and adjust my distance. Some days it's more mechanical and less thought, some days it's more thought and less mechanical that's required.
But the bottom line, You will not find any consistency until you have a backup plan.
I have notes for everything, stopwatches, charts etc, that's my backup plan, when feel is not working today, I can pull out the notes.
By the way, Brandon would not be the player he is today, if I did not let him wipe the floor with my as$ in his early days in MPC. I gave him the confidence and the credits to move on and become the great player he is today.
