Honestly just depends on what suits you.  I have purchased all of the high end putters but for the most part still use the lowly Ghost Manta which has the same specs as the level 35 Ghost.

when i upgraded from cheap Anser to level 33 Odyssey I would guess 3 stroke per 9, from the 33 to the 70  another 2

upgrade from 70 to 96 odyssey 1, not playing near as much right now but if it is inside of 14 ft now I expect to make it and don't care if I go 3-4 ft past the hole if I need to hit it firm...no more 3 putts, no more putts set to lower power scale taking off 10 ft past the hole unexpectedly, haven't come up short in a long time...

good question  .....I really don't  think its the putter ......im thinking more like its the person behind the putter ....I play with a TL  that uses the starter  wgt putter and he tears up the greens ....20ft or less he makes the putt everytime

Sorry cowboy,no one makes 100% of their 20ft putts, sounds good but the higher level putters have many advantages over the starter, your friend sounds like a phenom with the starter and just imagine,,, he would be in a class all his own if he mastered a better putter...just sayin...

One thing is the precision and balance of the equipment (the Starter being crap in the latter),

one thing is the accordance of putting style with the equipment - putters with high forgiveness aren't compatible with off-ding putting and vice-versa,

and the major thing of all is the skills of the putter in front of the screen. You don't read correctly, you don't hit the meter (power + execution) where it should be, you won't sink a single one.

That is why you shouldn't buy a putter too soon IMHO.

I still use my Daytona. I got half way decent at putting until I was a Legend for a few months, then I forgot how to putt. In real life golf I have the same putter I have used for over 25 years. I have bought many new sets of clubs in 25 years, the old putter is still the same. I make a few and miss a few. If a virtual putter has that much influence on the outcome of a virtual game. Then ?????. You still have to line it up and read it right.

    Any of this, Renni!

By chance I'm bound with the Daytona, too.

Putting is a game different from Golf, and the putter is a different club than the others. For me, it must

    - look good in the first place,

    - feel good when stroking (facts of alignment and stroking coming to my mind).

IRL, my choice is the Sabertooth by Odyssey. I fell for it after two strokes with a friend's putter, and I had to defend it against others who tried mine.

At all points the putter is important. I have had several. The Daytona was excellent. I have had the level 70 Odyssey Versa for about 6-7 months. I have never been anything more than pretty good with putting. I submit all rounds so that my stats are true to me. The 70 Versa has shown improvement in my putting stats from day one. I don't need a change in putter anymore, only a change in how I use it, which won't change.

Same thing I thought w/ the lvl 70 but believe me there is a huge difference between the 70 and 96 odyssey...I put it off and put it off more lol, expected to be very disappointed for buying it given the stats but it is more than worth the money if you like the Versas...
