If you go a distance past the front pin on the 15th with champ greens you'll more than likely need a wedge after your putt.

I also have a question about the new changes. It seems to me now that the green speed has changed and the tournament speed is now very fast speed. Also, for some reason now I am having to hit an extra club into every green in order to get the ball to the hole. I tried this on a couple of different courses and with a couple different balls, even starter balls. Has anyone else noticed this or is this just something that is going on on my end?

Doesn't work that way. You would have to turn off ALL the sounds (top option on AUDIO page)  including the ding

I didnt turn any button off, i just moved the Ambient slider all the way down. Worked for me.

I have the music slider all the way down and the Environmental almost all the way down.

So i still hear the birds chirping , but no bloody clapping.

~ I can't say how many times the club switches when I don't want it too and that sounds is a huge help catching it. Plus the actual sound of club on ball makes it more real for me. ~

Too right!, Sometimes accidentally hitting the scroll wheel changes your clubs. need some sound!
Next we'll have  "you hit the tree JIm"   :/
EDIT;  I stand corrected, it didn't eliminate the appluase by doing that all it did was make it very quiet.

Weird as does not for me.  Below are how I have my settings and I get the ridiculous clapping.

Maybe WGT could comment on this if not already done so!

Indeed for me, it's seems that audience sound can be turn off independent.

And we do not have any switch flag, apart from "sound on - sound off".

    mmyers0:

    Course difficulty ratings:

    2.5 Merion
    2.5 Best of Hardest
    2 Congressional
    2 Oakmont
    2 Olympic
    2 Bethpage
    2 Best of Par 5
    1.5 St Andrew's
    1.5 Cabo del Sol
    1.5 Whistler
    1.5 Best of Famous
    1.5 Best of Par 4
    1 Kiawah
    1 Royal St George's
    1 Best of Par 3

There is no way you can convince me Kiawah is the easiest in the game. Nor is Merion anywhere near the hardest.

Assuming championship greens, I'd rank them something like this, hardest to easiest (excluding the Best Of's, since I haven't played them much):

    Congressional
    Oakmont
    Kiawah
    Whistler
    Olympic
    Royal St George's
    Bethpage
    St Andrew's
    Merion
    Cabo

    Thoughts?

The course ratings might be just for CTTH. Remember many of the courses are CTTH only.

Shrude edited his post, Jim, and does see what you're saying. The problem is WGT tied the clapping to the club audio volume and not the environmental sounds.

yeah I think it was someone elses Mic in skype, in which i could hear the applause, which drowned mine out last night.

WGT perhaps should make a few more tick boxes in the Audio Options.

Here we have 12 pages of members saying they don't like the clapping sounds, and I also don't like it, and not ONE reply from WGT. This really show how much WGT cares about their customers.

Heh. Found a workaround, lame as it is. My laptop has a mute button on the deck so while the putt is on the way, if it goes in I hit that button real quick and hit it again when the hole ends. I thought I would eventually get used to it but it just seems to get more annoying. :-(
