Have you ever seen a company putting penalties on their customers?

Quitting scenarios are not their business - they sell balls etc. Besides, disconnections may happen for technical reasons beyond the players' control - should they be punished as well?

I am simply trying to come up with ideas to cut down on the WD's.

Are WDs a problem for us?

Exactly. Would they not sell more balls with this penalty?

They would disturb their customers - both the guilty and the victims. Not good for business.

    disconnections may happen

After a disconnect, are you not allowed the chance to resume play once returning to the lobby?

Technical reasons for disconnects include those at or close to the company.

To say the least, their servers seem too sensible to connection problems. In the "unexpected error" issue, I suspect programming flaws since it became worse at some time, probably after an update.

I agree, the game is too sensitive to connection problems.
