You can't take real world money and simply have it vanish into thin air because your website is broken, compromised or malfunctioning without either compensating the consumer or fixing the problem. To simply ignore it by not at least posting that there's something wrong or taking the website offline is nothing short of negligent and to put it bluntly just fuckin stupid.

But to be fair to WGT, If you send them an e-mail, they WILL refund you.  I even got a ball as well as compensation for ball usage.

But i tend to agree that in a way WGT should suspend credit matches until they sort out problem, but on the other hands if we the players know there is a chance the game might fail Its our own fault if we continue to play the game if we know its flawed.  But personally, the only fun I get is playing for credits so If 1 in 5 games play o.k then i dont mind losing credits in the one that doesn't work because i know i will get refunded if i send wgt an e-mail (especially with proof)

Both of you gents are way smarter than I am...whoo, do I need help here...expected or un-expected??? If it was expected wouldn't they already know, and fix it? If it's            un-expected, how do they know to display the message so quickly?

I am lucky that I do not play for credits, but game play at the moment in multi-player games is nothing short of shite.

The last few games I have played have not completed as you cannot get back to the lobby, or the other player cannot get back and you need to finish it as a solo play (in stroke play). Matchplay crashes invariably mean game over - The message should read "thanks for the ball usage". Come back soon for a few more holes.

I have always maintained my system as recommended, and resorted to uninstalling flash and stating fresh but the dis-connects only occur playing WGT. Previously I seldom had problems, the last couple of weeks I question whether it is worth playing a multi player game.

Something is wrong and it is not at the players end. It has got to the stage I dread an update, because all this achieves is incompetent programmers introducing new bugs or patches to fix another bug which in turn lead to new problems.

Will WGT suspend credit games due to the instability? No - it is easier to make refunds for the players that do complain than to forego the income stream - such is the greed.

The sad thing is, and I know a lot of players who have quit or seldom play because of the poor game play, inconsistencies and crashes.

It is entertainment, a game for enjoyment, not to create angst and frustration.

If only WGT knew the real potential of the game, but by having half baked programmers and quality control and testing that cavemen would put to shame is slowly strangling this game.

Yes there's a few issues which got introduced when Pinehurst was released, YES, with every update there seems to be a problem some where else.  But WGT seems to be getting unfair criticism at times.  What other game keeps you addicted like this (with all its flaws, but not many)  The actual game itself is amazing, Its streets ahead of the best game a multi million dollar company like EA or an one else can come up with.  Personally, I've never before spent so long playing a single game, i either get bored or a better game has been released.  here on WGT I've been here 4 years + and will be here next year too.  We need to see WGT for what It is,  an amazing Golf game with community to match (as many prefer forums (clubhouse) to the course and remember we're always testing new releases for wgt until they iron out the bugs (which in most cases they will eventually)  Lets all cut WGT some slack and start respecting them for what they've done instead of slating them for PETTY REASONS!

    * takes CIB's temperature* or will the real CIB stand up please?

Essentially you are correct, it is by FAR the best golf game around - but when there are issues I will voice my opinion.

I love this game, but the issues just tend to compound, not diminish. The priority is to churn out more features that will generate income and ignore age old bugs that directly affect the game. I am not talking of VEM (as this makes the game more realistic) but the issues that cause crashes - and simply saying clear your cache does not cut the mustard.

For this reason we will forever be stuck in Beta - or testing the game because the programmers alone are not capable of doing so.

And for me the overlying fact is the platform - Flash. The game is reliant on the stability of flash - a third party.

EDIT - tried a Alt game and got the Unexpected error message - full marks WGT, you obviously do not want players to play. This is beyond a joke and you want me to give WGT some credit?

If you are not prepared for constructive criticism then you should not build an online game with public forums. Does anyone actually believe wgt would ever fix anything if not for the complaints?
