hey guys an gals haha...politicly correct lol

just a quick one...cant dial in these r11 find it confusing how badly the ball is misdirected if you miss the ding by just a weeeeeee bit... more forgiveness an better precision than starter clubs yet behave worse????!!!! yes the swing meter is faster i get that more chance of missing your ding.. but miss it by bugga all an its an awful shot not even close to where it should be.. maybe i expected to much but sure didn't think id play worse..lol

anyways rip it up out there...

While at times they can be amazing clubs, at the same time they are more inconsistent than anything i have ever used. 8 iron, 9 iron and pw? good luck figuring out what they will do from one hole to the next.

R11's with starter balls are going to be tough for you, try the ones I sent you, at 64 credits a sleeve, it won't be hard on the wallet.

    Best of luck.

When a club imparts more spin on a ball, as the R11's do, the wind will have much more of an effect on the balls trajectory than clubs with a lower spin attribute. Hence the greater deviation when missing the ding.

thanks heaps for that scotthope ... light bulb went off once i read it. driver is very much the bomb hence the low spin!!!!!... will go out an try it with that in mind .. guess its a matter of over time you need to find out if more spin or average spin is how you want to play your game.. in the middle of the two seems to be me

He knows the R11's really well. Helped me with them just got tired of trying to deal with the meter.

    Thanks for that:)

The OP has the L32 set though, and if I had that set I have forgotten all about them.  Looking quickly the speed of the L32 set looks fine.  The starter ball is a range ball rock though, and only going to get so much from that.

Personally If I had my time again the first set I would look at would be the L59 G20s, but a few that have that L32 R11 set say just fine (but not high trajectory like the G20s of course).  Any way they are OK, and from Pro Tees at L42 a real luxury and why not:)........I would also decide on a half decent ball (credits allowing and no need go mad at all on price), quickly map each club zero spin 100& power then same with 97% spin, and do the rest with common sense power.

Get to L59 and either get the G20s or stretch the R11s out to Legend tier (they can do that), and get something way better then.    Choices and loads of stuff on mapping in these forums.  L90 R11s are still a long way off for the OP though, but in fairness he does not need them yet either.

It is hard to deny that with the r11s when you are in a groove with them will get you in to the 20s for 9 holes and 50s for 18 holes.

I try to stick with balls 3.5 dots of spin or less and think I am going to settle in on the L61 Nikes for overall meter speed and more forgiveness with the ding. It appears so far that with the L61s I can get away with missing the ding(on the correct side of course) and still have a decent shot.

That being said, that dang 8I, I am just going to recalculate and play it like it is going to play way long. Seems that I am flying past the hole more than I am coming up short.

Didn't see a problem with the PW until I had a 116 yard shot(wind & elevation), dinged it and went 9 yards long. That was definitely a wgt "wtf" moment but I am learning to live with them as with each round I am starting to dial in the r11s with the L61s.

Lastly, you can shoot pretty good scores with the r11s with the starters and cheaper wgt balls. I actually enjoy the challenge of the meter as I don't expect a good score when playing with the cheaper balls.
