Just a kudos to WGT on these wedges. Great to see decent lower/mid level wedges being introduced at a great price.

So often you find lower tier players starting to be disgruntled with the game because they can't afford to upgrade because most of the products over the last year or so have been introduced with massive price tags. Now a lot of Pro's and TP's can get a set of solid wedges at a very reasonable price. They may be the same stats as the older ones, but the price stayed the same, which astounded me...In a good way ;) lol.

Also the free avatars WGT introduced a little while back surprised and impressed me greatly.

Good job on giving back a little WGT. :)

    James

    I'm in doubt, as usual.

Overall, the Ping wedges have become more expensive. The level 40ish ones were 200 crs each, now 295. The level 18(?) ones were cheaper before (120?), now 200 crs. Unless the uncommon event that the lower ones would become better, it's just demanding more for the same.

    The same? Not at all!

    In level 41/42, the yardages are 75 / 85 / 90 / 95 / 100 now, a - sorry - ridculous spacing! In the Olde Days, it was 60 - 80 - 100, only to be reduced to 60 - 75 - 90.
I see a constant move to less usefulness of these affordable clubs at mounting prices.

    No kudos from here!

    Erm...forget the kudos to WGT!

The new Gorge wedges have exactly the same performance specs as the Ping Tour W available yesterday.  It is all window dressing, new image of the Gorge wedge, new description.   Its called re-branding.

And they did indeed raise the price.  The Ping Tour W wedges were 200cr.  The Gouges are 295.  A 47.5% price increase.

And they either dropped or forgot the 64 degree 60 yard wedge.

You men know nothing. As soon as something is given a different name it automatically becomes a new must-have product. Women understand that kind of thing. :-)

All hpurey wants is yellow Callaways.  I'm waiting for the Callaway X2 Hot Viagras.  These are men's must-have products. ;O)

    My bad...

I thought they were 295 cr before hand. I got that one wrong, my apologies.

But still I think they are reasonably priced. I also think it was great of them to give away free avatars.

So rarely is there a Thank You dished out in the forums I thought I might sneakily pop one in there.

Does anyone now if the lack of the 64 degree Ping wedge was intentional or an error to be corrected soon?

    The next update(s) may show.

But, I noticed that they fiddled around with these wedges before already. Once they were available in a nice 60 - 80 - 100 yds spacing. Then there was no 100 anymore, thus it became 60 - 75 - 90. Now discard the 60, remains the wreckage of a formerly nice & budget club set - almost unusable.

The "cheapest" wedge set of some value is the ATV 50 - 77 - 100 now - no further comment.
