Is the L 96 worth getting if you already have the L 70

Depends on how much you want to downsize your circle of precision. I'm a ding putter so I need it to be as small as possible but missing-to-aim putters might see that differently.

I have the 70 , and been missing a lot by very very little, and was wondering about the extra precision the 96 has over the 70

Heh, I've been dinging a lot and still missing that way. I never had the 70 but went to the 96 from the Ghost and saw an immediate difference. That was at only 1/2 dot more in Precision. You'd be picking up a whole dot but the meter's a little faster.

I wouldn't have either one of them..........much better off with the Nike Method putter (level 77 I believe).  The upper level Nike Method putter is a waste of credits.   There is no difference between it and the level 77 one.

P.S. I'ts simply ridiculous that the Nike putters are the ONLY putters with a 10 foot meter.  I wouldn't own anything else.

Even after 5 years and close to 60,000 putts, I am lousy at it. Nevertheless, after so much habit, anything other than the 15-30- spread @ 10-20 or otherwise is just not do-able for me. My home for a very long time was Versa 70...tried others, no dice at all, and I tried very hard...not to be. I went to and currently use Versa 96. It is better than the 70, but ever so slightly. So slightly, that you have to pay special attention to notice it, but it is better. With me, the problem is ME. I putt too quickly, I never check the reverse view, I putt very bold, and frankly have always found it to be very boring. Get the L96....what better do you have to do?

Same question I had because the specs aren't much different, I reluctantly bought it and am I glad i did...

if your a ding putter it is way more accurate than the 70...I had a lot of putts with the 70 that seemed to start off line, lot more lip outs, all that went away with the 96....

I had a nike and that 10ft scale was so screwed up on power I couldn't wait to get rid of it...

the 96 goes exactly where you aim the ball, if you miss it's all on you/me LOL....

Totally agree. Giving it major credit for fixing the 8-12 footers and getting me to TL.  :-)
