The 12 represents the stimp meter.  Which is what golf courses use to measure the speed of greens.

I will say this.  And players who play this game regularly will know this also.  Green speeds seem to have changed a bit.   Seems after every update my distance control has to be tweeked a little.     Example.  Very fast greens sure play quicker than they use too.

    tournament 12
This is the former "Legend Tournament" speed. 13 is what was Championship speed.

here ya go buddy this is the basic math for the speeds.....

fast 9,, i just add 1 foot to the dis an minus or add foot for every inch up or down this gos for all the speeds

    very fast 10,, x dis by .88

    turny 11 x dis by .8

    turny 12 x by .75

    champ 13 x by .7

now don't forget to take few notes on course's that may play a lil more aggressive then others an always check the dis may say 12  but is really 13 just check in reverse view an move marker a lil taking that xtra 5 sec to check can make the dif from a par or a bird an so on.. now im not saying my way is perfect but its sure works for me when i am hitting my putter correctly an get the right line...

This is gadget, someone replaces all old evaluations by numbers. 4 dots for equipment is not good, 4.0 set best.

Slow, standard, fast, very fast, tournament, championship greens are not good. 8.9.10.11.12.13  looks better.

WGT thank you upset our lives.

However, one thing : 10 is set for 10, not 9.9 or 10.1 no? While fast means fast and leaves a margin of appreciation incertidude

This leads to hazardous calculation formulas, Sorry but you can not adjust a putt with a mathematical formula without considering its lengh, and the how is the slope  : uphill or downhill.

As wrote someone on forum : dont know where formulas leads but now understand why some guys take full 90s time to shot.
