Damon, from The Golf Channel, is the only Afrocentric figure this site has to offer, aside from the free 'bald' guy selections.  Though I like the perspective of this particular commentator, I feel the site can do better to offer more diversity in it's selections. as a whole  This is a very well thought out game which is played by a diverse and multi-cultural group of people from all over he world.  It would be nice to see the site follow suit.

Every non-Golf-Channel avatar has 3 ethnicities to choose from. Alopecia does seem to be a common factor in the type you mention though. The caucasian fella looks like he will burn badly in the sun and could do with a WGT-branded cowboy hat.

It still seems rather statistically balanced.  Let's just cut to the chase here - golf is considered arguably the whitest sport on the planet, up there with hockey.  If the reverse were true, it wouldn't bother me.  If you created a running back in Madden, it should probably look like Toby Gerhart by default.  I'm sure that there are Asians who play golf, but I don't see any Asian avatars at all.

    Thx, FMagnets,

I didn't notice that there were additional choices inside each avitar but it's nice to know they are there.  I appreciate this reply and the heads up.  Thx.

    Mike,

My question wasn't about being statistically balanced or whether a sport is 'arguably' anything other than the sport it's meant to represent.  I simply wanted a selection and choices to represent me as a player on the site with hair and not just being bald, which it seemed, was all I had to chose from.  It's great that fmagnets clarified that each avatar has 3 different choices to select from, and that my hairless (bald) issue can be resolved simply by the inclusion of a hat.  Thx so much for the reply, though.  It shows that you considered what it was I had to initially say and gave your perspective on it.  Though I may not completely agree with your theory, I totally appreciate the added depth you presented.

Multi-Culture is a currently popular fixation shared by many. I suppose the Avatar selections should reflect this notion to include cultural dress, headwear, skin color and so forth. The biggest failure with Avatar choice, however, is age and, lanky to portly appearance; along with the sloven and unkempt.

Well, I considered including cloven, but some would think it satanic, however to be kind and honorable; and creative, the addition of Avatars to represent the "Special Olympics" would be precious.

I think they'd have to get special permission for that sort of thing which could get into copyright infringements and so forth.
