    MrSCicero:
So if what you say is true, Why even have the product suggestions in the forums as out of the hundreds of suggestions that I have read over the course of 2 and a half years, I think I have seen 1 or 2 responses from an employee of theirs?

Company policy. My impression of the Hold-Your-Tongue Tribe from Bay Area is proven every day.

Once they'd start to promise something, it might tend to change => broken promise, not good.

Also, to keep their business plans as secrets apparently outweighs any communication with the customers.

They avoid bad news like "We haven't found the fix" or "This item is off schedule" by all means.

Fortunately, the majority of their customers think positive. Rumour like "We get Pebble Beach soon" or "This will be fixed in the next update" is spread by those who haven't lost their hope yet.

Me, on the contrary, has figured out that we've passed Hell's Gate: "Abandon all hope..."

    These threads crack me up!

Some of you need to be aware that Mods don't report to WGT headquarters and sit in a room full of WGT manuals/how too's, with a programmer available 24/7 to answer questions and make 100k a year...

I don't know exactly how it is done here but I'm sure like most sites Mods are not even employed by WGT, they do it for some sort of benefits and moderate from their homes which could be anywhere!

While they do have more access like deleting threads or posts, they do not have administrative access....they are most likely people like everyone else here who the admins liked and asked them to be Mods, emailed a list of what was expected, and actions they could take and put a WGT in their name...I doubt they have any idea about the programming, and get tidbits of info from the admins to pass on about whats coming, they just keep the head honchos in touch with the temperament of the customers and reign in the problem children...The Admins are a different story!

I was a Mod on a site from 98-00(no offense to the mods)

Half the time before they ever read a problem someone has already answered it, if you have a complaint they prolly just let Admin know and then it is out of their hands...Geeezzz, give 'em a break...

Please note that I didn't talk about the mods but about general un-communication from the company. Mods are expected do their work and fulfil their employer's expectations. This is how we should see&judge them.

If you find anything untrue in my posts, please reply to that and don't try to excuse the uninvolved employees.

    My two Pfennig:

If we see no replies as stated by Cicero it's to the will of the company.

When we're asked for our opinions, it's to the will of the company.
And when there's no further commitment shown, it's to the will of the company.

When promises are made to inform us, and no information is coming, it's to the will of the company.

Repeating myself: Company policy. Judge it for yourself.

I would like for the moderators that are employed by WGT to introduce themselves to the community so that when we ask for suggestions and get a reply to them, we know that we are actually being addressed by an employee of WGT not just a member of the community such as myself.

The forum mods all have "WGT" at the beginning of their username.

And how do you know that to be fact?

    Experience my friend.

Also, I accept your apology for being such a jerk. ;)

Then you don't read the forums very often. Quite a few times WGT types have involved themselves in product discussions and more than once they have indicated they do read these forums.

Search WGTPizza if you want to see what happens when a moderator gets too involved-they box themselves into corners.  :-)

    I am here!!! waving :)

I always read every thread and many many are rehashed and if anything new I will either comment or write down.

I don't believe in replying to every post since forums are user driven not moderator driven :)

With that said, you can always post on my wall :)

Lots of players' suggestions have been implemented! To name a few:

    1) Composite courses made up of holes from various golf courses (Best of....)

    2) The prompt to buy more balls when you are down to 1, before you lose it and revert to the starter ball

    3) Golf bags where you can save different sets of clubs for convenience....

    4) Yellow Calloways! (A big deal for a few players - OK, actually just one, but hey.)

Probably many more. If WGT mulls over all the hundreds of suggestions before deciding which ones are doable - rather than commenting immediately on every suggestion, perhaps prematurely and setting up false hopes - that seems OK to me.
