i need to ask , when i,m playing with three other players, an they all quit, i have to forfeit, is this counted against me,

You don't have to forfeit, in most game types you can carry on the game. In alt shot you need to wait on the other players timing out in the lobby, that way you will avoid any penalty.

My point is that 99% of people would never be able to tell the difference

Quite easy to tell the difference when you aim around 10 yards right of a pin and the ball sets off left and ends up in bunker. Kiawa par 5 16th is famous for that.

I don't see that saying that there is a VEM influence Is sour grape it is more of a reality check.

The few elite players who  possess a calibrated precision game know when the result is skewed.

I find it to no surprise that most don't recognize a VEM result .....their quality of play is not in the upper echelon ....therefore are not capable of recognizing unusual influences,

I find it prudent to take stock in the opinion of top players ........

    Priestess ,for example........

Whom has worked hard to be the exemplar of top WGT Golf.

OFF TOPIC - Sorry if this seems obsessive but that is the 4th time I've seen that comment attributed to me. I did not post that comment.

It highlights the huge inadequacies of this clunky and antiquated forum.

    Back to the vem 'debate'....

My point is that 99% of people would never be able to tell the difference as to whether it is a "new variation" or "VEM" or "terrible mapping" or "hole plays long" or "club played short".

    feel better now ;-)

    Hi Paul

I think if you read my opinion,I was interested in Priestess quote about variations,I merely pressed quote as her opinion I hold in high regard.

The one -line remark earmarked with your name I paid no attention to at all.So if it will make ya  feel any better I will make public .....  you name and alleged quote is totally  irrelevant to me.I just clicked the the Priestess quote, including you was incidental and of no interest to me whatsoever.

My remarks were concerning top players and their opinions of VEM  apparently skewing the results.

I most certainly did not intend to hurt your feelings,it appears that it hit a nerve with you and that most certainly was not my intention.

Absolutely no offence taken, I realise it's the forum mechanics that cause it, we're cool.

Yep sorry Paul that wasn't your quote!!

Kiawah 2, 7, 11,16 and 17 all have a high likely hood of being 3W approach shots and the BB 3w seems to have about .000001 dots of precision.

That is not VEM, just a garbage club.
