As I mentioned in another post, I have been away from the game for a while. In my day people progressed from tier to tier by "Practice" "Hard Work" and in my case "Grim Determination" I for one was proud to make legend @ level 84 and I´m sure at lot of other players have felt that sense of honest achievement also!
Upon my return I find that these farcical CC Easy Plays are destroying that concept for anyone who wants to play them! As well as for the players like myself, who have got to where they are the hard way! As with most cheats, we have to overview the whole situation, the bigger picture I would say!
Who are we actually cheating? Or fooling? The system or ultimately ourselves? I have never been a great CC fan for one reason (I don't like playing alone) To me the whole concept of playing WGT is to play with others and I have always played my ranked rounds in a group, all together, stand or fall etc
This I will continue to do for the following reasons:-
A) I enjoy it better that way
B) Because it will be a great personal satisfaction to see these "Easy Play" people come unstuck when they are teeing it up from the back tees, playing the winds and the tourney greens!
Yes I agree with those who say "These Easy Set Games Are A Great Learning Tool" and so they are, for those of us who are mapping out new clubs, ball performance etc, but they should NOT be included in our stats! I have played "Foolishly" a couple of these games myself for my current CC, not realizing that they counted!
For this mistake I will be resigning from my club with immediate effect and if anyone out there runs or owns a club which promotes fair play events, where you can go out with your fellow members in a group, play your game, post your scores in the true spirit of the game, please contact me through this post!
Otherwise it´s back to group Ranked Stroke play for me! Making honest friends along the way!
