Nice little addition to the mild and wild, the ball goes further after it hits the cup than it did from the club to the cup..

I've only been playing WGT for 2 and a half years and I just wondered if anyone else has played a shot like this.

76yds, 60 wedge with 3.5 spin, full back spin, ball 0 spin.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Please let me know if you have.

I've played a little real golf and I just don't think this is possible.

Has nothing to do with club spin or ball.  It hit the flagstick.  All bets are off as to where it may end up.

WGT flagsticks are like a solid stick in the hole.  Unlike IRL golf the pin fits loosely in the hole.

Don't think you actually played the shot that way, but it has happened to all of us.

    I also had a 106yd. slam dunk on hole 15 Kiawah 2-18-14.

Yancy took a video of mine and slowed it down. The ball goes in, and can be heard rattling around the hole, then pops out. Even the normal speed version takes 1-2 seconds before the ball pops out. I've had them go in and immediately bounce out, but this was strange because it stayed in the hole for a bit. Turn the volume up if you can't hear the ball bouncing around inside the cup.

Thanks Gary, I've never really thought about the rigidity of the flagsticks, I've hit them many times but this is the first time one of them has hit the ball nearly halfway back to me :-)

Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those players who think WGT has got it in for me (no need 'cause I can screw myself up anytime), I'm more amused than miffed.

What puzzles me is that if I hadn't hit the pin the ball would have landed about a yard past and maybe spun back a little or rolled on some more. After it hit the flagstick the ball came down almost vertically then shoots back some 25 yards until the hillock stops it. Maybe it was the spin on the ball, who knows? As you say "All bets are off as to where it may end up."

Thanks too to Jay, what a fantastic video!!!!
