I mean who knew the rules @ the time ?....even when you read them you were non the wiser.....

    How very true

    alcaucin:
Unfair I think to lambaste this club and by extension all its members ( as some have )

    Also, how very true

    alcaucin:
.then blame WGT..members turning on each other to find a scapegoat is an exercise in futility.

Wise words Andy...I couldn't agree more. I mean, good grief, I have never seen such a lack of maturity on display here before. Wgt should be ashamed of themselves for causing this uproar, and people throwing blame at anyone other than Wgt should share in that shame.

    I too say :-

    alcaucin:
Congrats Augusta National CC and to all CCs who participated.

you give them cudos for cheating

Not one for reading fully or looking before he leaps I see...

Thank you for a mature and measured response though...

wgt are to blame for not correctly invalidating the erroneous scores and giving out the prize to the incorrect club.

the cc is to blame for allowing it to happen in the first place without regard to its own integrity.

the cc owner coming out with flippant remarks about the whole matter and not disavowing this behaviour is callous and lacks common decency in not turning down the win and gift.

as for the collusion in cc regarding the loophole, well that just shows the integrity of the club comes into question.

for anyone to defend any of these actions speaks for itself in volumes.

I don't believe either my or Andy's comments are defending anything or anyone.

    Your insinuation is insulting.

why would u congratulate a club that has shown to have colluded to win an event in an underhanded manner?

i would be congratulating the second place getter for being the actual winners instead and asking the colluding club to relinquish its winnings.

    :))

Want a ladder to get off your 'high horse' Wanto ?

No wonder I get moderated, dealing with such plebish ill thought out posts.

Was merely pointing out that the member in question came across a way to garner points quickly whilst playing the putting course, AFTER, having already bought a pass, and passed on the knowledge for the benefit of his new CC.

As I would've done, oblivious that it was not 'cricket'

Do you think he bought a pass for EVERY CTTH track in the hope of finding said loophole ???

And as I've said.....no one new what was going on in the beginning !

I hate to throw other clubs (its more than 1) under the bus, but do Best of Par 5s with hack tees count for the cc clash event? I guess getting alot of eagles and birdies on a normal 9-hole course is better than doing best of putting....

thanks for the high horse statement al - always that with u isnt it.

thanks for the pleb nonsense too - quick on the personal stuff arent ya.

so if someone finds an exploit in the game does it mean it should be exploited?

    according to u - yes.

who cares who knew about it - now that we know - why hasnt wgt dealt with it?

who cares if he bought passes for every ctth or whatever nonsense ur spouting out now - it doesnt detract from the fact it got exploited to cheat an honest team out of the win.

if u cannot see the error here then i cannot cure stupid.
