    Hey Steve,

You are spot on here. I don't think you will get any kind of official response from WGT other than " We are working on the bugs". It would be nice to see them do the right thing for once. The magnitude of this debacle goes way beyond anything they have done as long as I have been here. This is not just a question of a "programming issue". The way I see it, it goes far beyond that. This is more like fraud. It might even approach criminal intent. They knowingly allowed a club who admitted to cheating (by their definition) to win the tournament. In addition, several clubs (ours being one of them) were locked out of the final round. We were in the top ten at the start of round 4, and could not play. No idea where we ended up. So all of the CC passes we purchased, were wasted.

The only way for WGT to make this right is to make an official apology and refund every club for all of the passes they used. I don't think I will hold my breath though...

    So.

For a week or so, stop watching their vids. Stop doing surveys.

    Need a sleeve?

I have a little built up. I don't think spending creds that cost me nothing will be very helpful.

WGT like every facebook app that has tried these little gimmics for ca$h grabs, will fail and people will leave.

Sure the company will make some quick ca$h why its new and people are curious about what these gimmics are about, but when people realize theirgame they once loved and respected has turned into 1 big ca$h grab they will look elsewhere for entertainment, site will fail, and wgt will move on to it's next business venture.

I have been around gaming websites for many of many years and seen this time and time again.I remember yahoo games in it's very original form when it was at ground level and have worked in promotions for yahoo and amazon so i believe i know a little about what i am talking about.

Keeping the game simple is really what people enjoy and respect in a company. If you want a multi million $$ idea that could easily be bigger then google, here is mine.

Start a website with information to sincere no bs links, downloads, trusted websites, programs that do not involve the extra addons when downloading,no advertising on the site and have companies pay you to advertise thier links, sites if they are trusted and have users pay a annual fee to access that website for these sincere links, downloads.

How many people get tired of fake links and downloads full of malware/spyware and bs addons?Of course you would pay a annual fee for that.

Respect will get u alot further in life.

    Jimbog1964:

I am not yet sure WGT get the magnitude of what they have done.

They were cagey with information before this rolled out, and some of that was the speed it rushed through but a lot was down to withholding information too.

For some good time I have been dubious over any XP race.  It's a measure of passes used as much as anything, and to therefore call it a measure of clubs activity is nefarious anyway.   Any one going for that after this I think needs to think what they are supporting.  Fine use a free pass, and that will give as good a measure as any other anyway and probably more accurately.

What WGT should be doing is apologising for this ill contrived debacle which transpired through design or ignorance to a rort.  WGT need to think long and hard as what they have done is very serious, very serious indeed. This is a business and ignorance is not a defense is not an excusable reason, and so credits should also be refunded.

If anyone chases this nonsense again well I don't understand it for one.

An excellent and well balanced post Jim.

The one thing it has exposed IMO is the XP race has really not been thought through, and they are making it up as they go along.

I will not go as far as saying I will not spend at all, as I still like this game, despite the downfalls of glitches that are never fixed and new bugs that are introduced due to bungling programmers.

But nor will I ever spend a cent on buying another pass as I dont not see the benefit apart from bragging right for the large clubs. As it is I play less and less due to the bugs so the result is I contribute less and less to the coffers - build a stable product and I will play more.

For a long time prices have gone up (new equipment - the G25's is a classic example) yet the quality of the product has diminished. Now we have had a total debacle that even 1st grader could have foreseen the problems, yet no real apologies, especially from the senior management at WGT.

I will not even mention the abusurdities of developing "super equipment" that will eventually kill the game and become another TW by being too easy for the likes of everyone - it is fast approaching that now - all in the name of greed.

The simple fact is they should have canned the event, refunded all the passes and ball use and openly admitted that this was a monumental c0ckup.

But in typical WGT style, we get very little in the way of an admission.

I suppose next week we will get a sleeve of balls or a free something weekend as they go into damage control - pity some members will have probably gone for good by then, others will play less and spend less, and virtually everyone will have that bad taste in their mouths.
