Does the term "flogging a dead horse" ring a bell?

Not always a bad thing.  ;-)

mods come and go - cc's remain - dead or alive lol - so maybe it doesn't matter what a mod thinks about how an owner should perceive and run his/her club

Hopefully true duffer - but the loss of trust over this clash scandal will potentially destroy CCs as we know them.

There is already too much interference in CC with the new system.

I was happy to have 75/100 members - but with the stupid levelling up - now have 75/150.

What possible advantage does that have???

WGT is hijacking CCs - but it will all end in disappointment for both sides.

Looks like Augusta is well on their way to winning again and another "gold putter"

I see a few CC's in it, as well, that said they wouldn't participate... hmm...Lol !

    just sayin'

    should be clowns really.

3 members from our CC have obviously mistakenly entered and scored 194 points against XTW who played and scored 62 points.

Mistakes all round but we won the clash and got 600 extra points.

I'm pretty sure there won't be any further participation from any of our members.

The message is clear Shoe, the vast majority of members and respected CC owners do not want this crap interfering with CC life.

Edit :  Btw the evenly matched clash put us up against a club with 24 members, we have 45, ................................................yeah, I guess that's even.

    To WGT:

I came home tonight and turned on the game only to see CC vs CC Clash. My words were NOOOOOOOOO!

    Why?

Because the last one was a mess. When the last one started nobody had a clue as to what was going on. Still don't know who started my CC's last clash. I had to quickly decide how to manage Super passes etc. Figured it out when there was only 2 left. You guys set the owner tools up with all eligible and no explanation etc.

The play over and over and over and over and over is like playing real golf and having a 10 foot putt on the last hole and saying to your opponent....I will give you a dollar for another try. Ooops I missed I will give you another. Missed again I will give you another....ooops missed again I will give you another. Yea......I made it.....now give me $21.00 from the $25.00 bet we had.

    Just don't make sense.

Clashes should be advertised in advance. CC owners/directors should be the people to set up the clash. Owners directors and CC members should have time to discuss strategy as to who should get passes. Passes could be cut to only 2 tries/plays per player as to limit the opportunities to improve a CC's standing. The fun of competition and playing is knowing that this putt/shot is important and I don't have a second chance.

I love competition as do my CC members but blindly going about it just doesn't make sense.

As soon as I seen the new event posted tonight I went to game client and sure enough somebody started one in my CC. NO that person will not be criticized or reprimanded but....I am not sure they understand what they are doing either. I have asked my club not to participate and have no problem if anyone does. I just think that if you want CC's to have fun this process needs to be refined and get rid of that silly Putter.

I know I have rambled but I am just trying to point out WHY you see more people upset about this. One of the main reasons is because you guys really didn't address some of the issues from the first one. Like I said for tonight....came home clash started no Super passes handed out etc. and such little time to do with any of it.

This could work with limitations of play put in place and letting the CC directors members discuss how to handle the clash.

    Moose.
