    doctortom:

Daylight Robbery pretty much all the way through. Turned a very good score and top ten finish into nothing but 4 stolen balls and the worst score I have shot since becoming a TM, never mind a Legend! In all fairness this was a 64/65 with the golf I played but when has WGT every played totally fair?

    <<Upload Not Working - Posted to Lou>>

#2 I hit a 90% PW out of the 15% sand and it went 138y into the weeds so lost ball.

#14 My 2nd putt was a bit jerky so I let the practice swing go and WGT clicked for me and sent it wide

#16 Same thing happened on my 2nd shot - let a jerky meter go and it clicked and sent it into the fescue

#17 Same thing AGAIN on tee-shot, starting to work out not to take practice swings now. 2nd tee shot out of sand went 40y right of where i aimed and splashed down again. Kinda gave up by then.

Hi Tom, I have been experiencing a similar thing with my mouse, but can assure you its not WGT clicking for you, their server waits for your click and calculates the shot accordingly.

Something is clicking your mouse, or telling WGT you have clicked, could be some kind of virus, could be mouse on its way out or if you have a wireless mouse could be something interfering with your mouse - pc comms.

I play with a laptop, and I have had to disable the touchpad and only use a wired mouse now, as the mousepad was dropping in occasional random clicks.

I would suggest change mouse, or change batteries if its wireless, or disable touchpad and use a normal mouse, how to do that is here -

Thanks for this info Monty but unfortunately you've got the issue right here

    kam4122:

or telling WGT you have clicked

Its not me and it can't solely be the mouse or a virus as it happens on all 6/7 computers I play on (some wireless, some wired, some touchpad) and it happens on every browser and operating system I've used across these systems at one time or another.

I suppose there could be something corrupt in my profile (I've been having a whole different issue with CC events but thats another story) but I serioudly doubt it. Its very rare (maybe 1 day every couple of weeks) but sometimes it does happen and every time I let a practice swing go I get a click on the very right edge of the meter. When it does happen I've worked out what I can do to fix it for the next round but its often not a quick job.

The problem is that the WGA events aren't really set up to allow me to do this reboot/reset as its difficult to ask people to wait around for 2-3 hours to get everything working normally again so I just have to play on through it and take the round I get given, particularly when its R3 and I had such a tight window to get it in this week.

As long as you have a flash game then you potentially have these problems but its just another feature of the game that we all have to live with I suppose. Just have to suck it up and hope for better luck next week.

    Cheers, T

That is an interesting problem, I am struggling to figure what could be causing it if its over several machines / browser etc, would be worth pinging WGT to see if they can replicate or have had any other similar reports.

Do you run gamebooster? May be worth giving it a go just so it shuts some processes down, also check what is running in services (start, run, services.msc) and see if there is any conflict in pointing devices running and shut down some non essential services.

Finally there may be some conflict in the way microsoft is pairing packets, so you may have some level of communication where a click is being communicated in a packet pair, some latency fixers work by splitting the pairs into single packets which actually suits WGT as it does reduce latency, others work by sending orphaned packets after a certain amount of time which might be causing the randomness of the problem. You could try the leatrix latency fixer which certainly is flavour of the month with the world of warcraft boys.

    Cheers

Wow Monty... thanks for proving to me how un-learn-ed I am about computers and how even a little thing such as a click of the mouse can be so complicated !!! lol

Cheers for the thoughts and the help Monty. I don't run gamebooster as my PC is already supersmooth - I very rarely have serious meter issues except for when this problem is manifesting.

I will look at Leatrix though and see if that has the desired effect. It certainly seems a viable suggestion as to the cause of the problem and hopefully it'll yield some answers. The fact that it is happening over 6/7 different PCs and browsers is the mystery I'm struggling with, I can understand it happening on a particular set-up but this seems to be across all of them - just on a very sporadic basis.

I have already contacted WGT (sent plenty of bug reports too) but TBH I'd rather they get us a couple of new courses ready and I'll learn to live with it!!

Much appreciated whatever happens Monty, will let you know the results :-D
