It's amazing how perfectly smooth that 3 click meter is. So why can't the normal 1 be that good?

Thought the same Dazz, but I'd moaned enough already :)

It would be interesting from people who know if WGT can, sort of give that meter more 'juice' ,if you know what I mean..?

I noticed that too. Its perhaps the only good thing about the 3 click meter when compared with the original swing meter which stutters and is prone to jumping. Nice to know a smooth meter is possible. Hopefully one day they'll be able to sort out the original swing stutter problem.

Plenty of birdies for me.  The 5th is stupid.  I took the 10, then got all the way back to even by the 10th.  Then I got stupid.  Forgot to check down to the 3W on 11 and went in the creek, wrong-metered my first putt on 14 (gotta do that once every one of these), which led to more nonsense. My bomb on 6 and dart on 15 got cancelled out by a 3-stroke lipout on 12.

Thanks for putting this out there, WGT.  I do think that Merion is about the worst course for icy greens, though.  Too many wedge approaches that take the putting out of the equation on one hand, and those roll-away clown holes on the other.

I think you misplet "really effin' hard unless you happen to get lucky".  ;-)

There's a sort-of flat spot just left of the hole. This shot seems to work fairly consistently for finding it.  Full shot...using whatever power would normally give me about 24 or 25 yds on a flat green with full spin.  In this case though, I'm hitting it with no spin and aiming slightly left of the hole.

Bear in mind that my wedge is a total dinosaur and doesn't have the spin capabilities that the Clevelands do.  You might need some topspin on those to get the same roll-out.

Thanks for throwing this one up guys.  Anything different than the norm is always welcome in my world.

I have always thought that the 3 click was the future of this game.

we can't hit a perfect distance and perfect putt !

    I love the 3 clicker !

I might be wrong and if so apologies, but......I'm positive Typoon did realice Merion greens were way too steep for such green speed after the first round & comments were delivered. I doubt Typoon ever played Merion with that speed green.... :)

I appreciated Typoon intentions anyways, when trying to give us "hardcore" players (HAHAHA).....geeeeeez a different challenge, and yes it was. As I said before, more (or pure) luck than skills in those few super steep greens and that is why I only played once despite it was an unlimited tournament.

I concider myself a harcore player who loves UEL, insane fast greens & 3 click swing, but I enjoy more playing those when skills matters and not hoping (only hoping) to get lucky in hole 5 not to reach the hole strokes limit.

The interesting thing is that, the most hardcore players did play more than one round...hats off, brave you guys :).

I see also that the 3 click swing, that I love, has been nice welcomed among the majority of players. We will certainly will hear & get more challenges using this swing type :)

    Eric

Edit...big grats to the ones with 67!!! amazing score in my eyes ;-)

akash1592 you go to your equipment and select the Meter option.

I appreciate all the feedback on this tournament. It was my first time setting something like this up so I'll definitely keep everything in mind for future tournaments. Hopefully it wasn't too jarring for everyone.
