    fmagnets:
PS. This is a golf game, not a baseball game. The Fedex Cup playoffs would be a better analogy, where they do carry points into the final rounds.

What it brings to mind for me is the English Premier League (football) suddenly deciding that it will be the four semi finalists in the FA cup, not the top four in the season long league, that qualify for the Champion's League. Fmagnets does have a more apt analogy though.

This "See final tournament rules and details to be published on 12/1/14." I would guess means there's still time to make some changes.

As I'm sure WGT will not shift from making it the top 4 in the single competition I'd like to make a suggestion that may help a little:  If/when one of these top 4 say they can't/wont twitch their game then go the top unqualified player in the season list and work down that, rather than going down the play-off.

I'm sure WGT along with the rest of us want to see the best players play in this, not those that did best in one competition (and on Kiawah at that!).

As to future competitions if you were to have a similar one and want to make this a qualifier for the grand final or whatever, then why not split qualification.  As a starting point I'd suggest extending to eight; five from the money list and three from the end of season tournament.

Ok, gents, all this becomes too complicated. So here is what WGT should do: Declare the best looking and most sympatic TL who was born in East Frisia as the winner and give him the price. That would be an easy and wise decission.

firstly ..never has the word skype been mentioned...only twitch ..twitch.tv means broadcasting your game ...it can be live  whereby you have to inform wgt of the timing so that other players can tune in ....... or it can be recorded and then streaming it on twitch ..so nothing to do with talking ...chatting or whatever having to do with skype.....am i right ..

most people are speculating  that the top 4 could not twitch ...they have a crystal ball  in their hands and can foretell the future..lol....i for one wouldnt want to see anyone other than the top 4 in qualifying or top 4 on the season leaderboard winning ..they are the best for sure.

playing live ...is just a bonus..a demand by wgt so that others can enjoy and see a major being played live ..kudos to wgt for this idea...but disqualifying the top 4 if they cant twitch is a very harsh decision.. ...i hope we can see  this top 4 live ..what wgt could do is to help the top 4  on how to twitch ...and make it a possibility for us to see the actual top 4 playing and not just going down the list on who can twitch ...illl be dissapointed watching someone else down the list playing in place  of the top 4 and winning  the top prize just because he can stream on twitch...

Yes you are right, I meant twitch (and I know even less about skype), sorry. (#Edited now)

Of course WGT will help them if they don't know how to, they already are, the point was some still may not be able to or want to and then they will need someone else.

The other point is that with what WGT are proposing there is every likelihood you will not see the top 4 playing as they are not using the season leader-board but the top four in part 1 of the playoff.  I was only proposing that if any of them can't/wont play they go to the seasons leaders not 5th etc in that tournament.  This would give you a better chance of seeing a top player.

The mods have, and will be more than helpful in explaining twitch, and helping players get it up and running, and it's not rocket science, either.

There are multiple posts on twitch "how-to".

And, there's plenty of time to get on twitch, and start figuring it out. I am 100% behind the twitch idea. If someone can't or won't twitch their final round, don't waste time trying to be in the top (of whatever event decides who plays). Same as I don't waste my time or balls attempting to be in the Top 70. I know I can't/won't make it, so I don't try it. I will be in the Top 70 next year, though.

I have to disagree with u Jay, I have a pretty decent system and getting Twitch to work is becoming a thorn in my side.

I finally got my whole screen to show,(which shows my meter now) but now it takes forever to change views, and the continue button. I have been on the forum continuously with no answers.

But I am 100% for Streaming games ,to me streaming has the same effect as a lock, just keeps a honest man , or woman honest.

Exactly, Gary. Probably why WGT wants us to see them play. Eliminates the tinfoil hat brigade beliefs in these forums.

    just sayin'...

I hate your trying so hard, and getting frustrated Gary. It is probably (hopefully) just something really simple that will sort out your problem(s). It took me a few questions before finally just googling what it was doing and finding out I was doing something wrong. I don't know why a mod hasn't tried to help you. What WGT needs to do is make a complete, thorough video showing every single step, and explaining exactly what to do. They make tutorials for the rest of the game, and if they are so hyped on twitch, they should offer MORE help for those having problems. JFidanza knows twitch pretty well, but he shouldn't have to be the one helping players out. WGT should.

Since Icon is on twitch, and also skypes, I would think maybe asking him to do help, and through skype, share your screen with him. I wish I knew what to do to help. I get emails when those I subscribe to go live streaming, and I got a couple this morning stating you were twitching/streaming/live (whatever it's called), and when I went to watch, you were already gone, so I figured you were just experimenting and still having problems.

How about WGT? Can someone take the time to answer or make a video? Or pay/gift JFidanza to make one.

Being a twitch "partner", you're not helping folks on your end very much. Just posting a link to twitch and a pdf is not enough for some people.

I've no real idea what your problem with what I said is but I'll do my best to answer.

I have, in the forum, seen the mods try to help various people with twitch.  You can believe than or not I can't be bothered proving it to you.

I don't know who the top four will be, I never said I did, if you read the little bit of the rules that can be seen on the news page you will see it's the top four from part 1 of the end of season bash.

I'm not spinning stories about anything.  I do think that a lot of things relating to this competition have been poorly thought  through and it may be a good idea to think in advance about what happens if (once again in bold) one of the four can't or wont twitch.

This is the subject of the original post in this thread.
