PR's right. Somebody in the CC has to hit that Play Now button to enter the competition and that's what he wants to show-who did. You aren't in it if you never hit that button.

I'm pretty sure there was a big stink about getting added to the clash without entering and shoe said every club was automatically entered in it

Hell could be wrong haven't gave 2 chits about it since the first one without 200 members or about 5 zombie players ya got no real chance anyway

Suffice to say, you don't show up on the leader board unless you hit that button and actually play.  :-)

You won't know it, and this is a potential company reason against the OP's demand.

I hope (for once) that the button must be hit to enter the competitions, but I'm asking myself, why should a CC enter a Clash and end up with zero points? We won two Clashes this way last time, and we lost two by zero this time.

Still it's possible that some member avoids to use his brain at night and presses "enter" without a pass available to him.

So I'm confused, has WGT now gone a step further and forced clubs to participate in this farce?

It would certainly stop owners from penalizing members if clubs were automatically entered and at the same time it would increase anger and frustration towards WGT who have no regard for the clubs they're imposing this upon.

I don't understand why they can't develop the clash events so it is a level playing field and still stand to make just as much profit.

It's a very poorly planned event that (as far as I'm aware) hasn't changed since it began.

No proof to it since there is no record of these moments.

That's why I really wish they'd just put it in the 'Club Activity' as mentioned in my original post.

Owners and Officers of CC's should have a right to know what's going on in their clubs.

It would be a very devious and deliberate decision to make it obscure but perhaps it was just an oversight?

My understanding is that all clubs are eligible and registered to the event by WGT but a member has to press 'the button' to actually enter the club into the clash.

I'll see if I can get WGT to confirm and maybe even a response to this thread (fingers crossed).

Hi  the only way the club will be entered into a Clash is if someone in the club clicked the Challenge An Opponent button.  We have never automatically entered clubs into the Clashes and no plays to.

    Also,

Someone is your club clicked it and we do not track who nor have plans to.

Which begs the question why make it available for anyone to click the button and remain anonymous?

Surely you are aware of the problems that causes for those clubs that do not wish to enter.

Clubs can tell their members that they don't want their club entered into a clash but WGT knows full well that members can unknowingly enter or deliberately ignore club rules and enter anyway and remain anonymous thanks to you.

It's a blatant disregard for the owners and officers of clubs to make the event in this way.

EDIT: I received an email from WGT and can acknowledge that they are working on making improvements to the CCvsCC Event which is good to know and will hopefully lay a lot of the related threads to rest :)
