  I've had the redwood putter for a while, but I would make more putts if I could hit that stupid line!  LOL

  Hit the line and anything is possible (but this stuff about magnets and always putting the ball is a bit over the top).

  i have been using the spider putter now for about 6 months.....not sure why some think it sucks..... just hit your line once in blue moon,,,,,i don't seem to have any problems with it, but of course i haven't tried any other........any suggestions from anyone???????????

  I used the spider for a good while before I bought the redwood. It has worked wonders for my putting. I went from getting a lot of 33's and 34's to getting a lot of 31's and 32's.

  I have the spider, and am a bit unimpressed. I've had it several times there I hit the putt dead on the line, and the ball leaves the clubface at a 15 degree angle.

  Just now, in Kiawah, I had a putt from 2.7 ft. The green had a slight 1" downward slope towards the hole. I hit the putt directly on the line, and the ball missed the hole.. by 12" to the left.

  Seems to be some real issues with the precision of that putter.

  Can someone tell me why the Redwood putter is so good.

  Have played a fair number of rounds with it and I am not in awe.

   

  It's not bad, but at the moment it is not 600 credits better than the beginner putter.

  Am I right in thinking that with the Redwood you have to hit it much wider of the ding for slope than a starter/beginner putter?

  Trust me Peter play about 30 rounds and you will be in awe. Its nothing to do with the way you line up the ball - that should be no different. The ball just follows the line you chose perfectly - if that was a bad line the result will be no different from any other putter. If you chose the correct line you should find the cup no questions asked. I have been making a lot more putts in the 20 - 45 ft range that before I had it.

  If you're one of those people that don't move the marker and miss the ding intentionally ... I don't know about that.
