    Corwyn:

Still no sign of seb it seems...

duffputt is green, so he's the next in line amongst the alternates. No sign of DodgyPutter right now.

    I'm available if needed

Congratulations Fred and Russ on a huge win for Team USA. To take down all-time great Sebicu and leading Legend JoeMaverick (who just won the Bandon Open: congrats Joe!) is very impressive.

I understand Joe was recording the match, and will be able to upload tomorrow from work. Look out for his post sharing the link to the match archive.

     -------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm just going to repeat the critical information here, given some of the connection challenges we've experienced with this AltShot series:

Just a reminder: The expectation is that all matches will be played: we don't award games based on disconnects.

If you run into connection issues, please follow the guidelines posted here. Try and finish your match however possible. In this competition, we assume everyone's best intentions and we ignore thrice-disconnects and timeouts. If needed (and possible in the format) concede holes to get back to the same hole and score as soon as you can.

If there are no-shows, the guidelines tell you what to do. Alternates: please note the match start times listed above, and if you can be around and green at scheduled start time, you may be called upon.

The Ryder Cup Chatzy Room will also be up and running for each match.

Team ROW are leading after the first series and thus have the honor (and need to do the game set up and inviting) for this second series, the Foursomes (AltShot) matches.

And, the procedure for figuring out who tees off first within each team is explained in WGT's FAQ (copied below, with my emphasis):

    How are the teams made?

The creator of the game invites 3 other people to play, then chooses a partner from one of those players to form Team Green. The remaining 2 players form Team Gold, and the representative for Team Gold gets to choose who will tee off first for their team. The creator of the game will always tee off first for Team Green.

What are the rules for Alternate Shot?

Whoever tees off first for the team will tee off on all of the odd numbered holes (1,3,5 etc.). Their partner will tee off on the even numbered holes (2,4,6 etc,).

    ----------------------------------------------------

Week 2  (from Sat 1/31 to Mon 2/9):: will be Foursomes (Alt Shot) with a set of six matches to be played over 18 holes at Olympic with the following conditions:

Olympic :: 4-Player Alt Shot :: Ranked Mode :: Full 18 :: Uneven Lies :: 60 second timer :: all other conditions as set by the game lobby

Please note: Matches should end at the 18th, if they haven't ended earlier. You should not play Extra Holes. If match is tied after the 18th hole, then the result is A/S, and each team wins 1/2 pt.

And, please remember to share both 9 scorecards and an exciting match report afterwards!

Have you tried " Procaster" Joe? that live streams and you can adjust lots of settings to help the CPU, it has a CPU bar so  you can adjust settings and when the CPU drops you have an idea whats best.I used that all the time when i streamed . Now i have a 24 inch monitor that putts a strain on my graphics i can;'t even attempt to use it.Hopefully i will switch back to a smaller monitor and stream a singles game or 2.

Hi all, I wanted to apologize here and address to Seb, Russ and Joe a small word. I've not been very active in the chat box during the game for the good and simple reason that I kept describing our game as much as possible in the chatzy room (almost every single shot).

French native, my english is not natural enough to be good in this exercise (sorry to the readers of the chatzy room as well if sometimes I was not clear)

I gave my best between the 2 screens I had to manage but I also understand that I could seem out of the game sometimes. I was not and, reviewing Joe's video (thanks for it bud!) I didn't miss anything of our game. Probably a little bit distracted but overall, I hope you guys enjoyed the game as I did and I hope readers in the chat room could follow the the story in the game as well.

I'm not sure I'll be able to do that during the Match play though since sequences of plays are faster. But I enjoyed doing it at this time.

Thanks to everyone for your understanding.

    Cheers,

    Fred.

No I didn't try but you know Yesterday the meter was a beauty, despite the recording (the problems came from myself, I've lost the rythm). And I don't have a 24" monitor... I have 2 :p

Today a technician has a little bit repaired my connection. Now I've an upload speed of 1.8Mb instead of 0.5 Mb. I've tried to stream and it works, meter is correct... But not if I'm watching the video at the same time. Then the meter becomes crazy (I suppose it's too much) and I see a delay of at least 30 sec. But if I keep twitch on pause, the meter is correct.

I will make more tests but I think I should be able to stream the match play :)

No need to apologize. I went on the chat box today to see the last comments. Good job ;)
