Damn, sooooo tempted right now - worth jumping from the  L97 version, chaps?

Head sayin' hold fire - big kid inside screaming "Buy! Buy! Buy!"

Not game changers, Jonny, but a little better in the missed ding category. You don't get killed on the distance and the precision is a nice plus.  :-)

p.s., One less night out at the local watering hole and you'll never look back. Drink twice as much the next time out to make up for it.  ;-)

LOL  on the way home from work yesterday I had that same thought process go through my head.  Figured, instead of a topshelf bottle, go bottom shelf and get a subway gift card. Then did offers and vids for the rest. ;-)

Also, brought in leftovers for lunch today, that should offset about $10 from lunch today as well. :)

Worth it if you're old and slow like me (and others in this thread who shall remain unmentioned, such as YJ) just for the extra .5 of meter crawl and forgiveness.  Precision is bumped up by a factor of .1, can't say as I've noticed much difference there but have had them only one day, of course.

If you've got the credits to burn, why not...but if your reflexes are better than mine and the other old farts here (like YJ, who shall remain unmentioned as another old fart) then you might want to wait and see what other new gear wgt will release in the next few weeks/months.

LMAO. Dunno 'bout yerass but I stopped aging at 40.  LOL  :-P

Bummer to have to pay $3 a sleeve more.  :-(

If Mark changes from L81 to L71 nike ball, with the added  .5 in meter speed of the new irons, theory would be the meter speed would be same as L97 Irons for a cheaper price and same ball no?  After 45 sleeves of L71 instead of L81 balls, the irons would have paid for themselves. ;-)

Same thought as to making the 2.5 meter for the L33 become a 3.0 meter speed ball with the L97 irons.

Haven't spent a real cent here since April of 2012.

Face it, fellow old fart...we're just a couple of misers.

    ;-)

Any hint of a free rental weekend from WGT to maybe try out the new clubs.    Not sure that I would buy them but there would be fun to try and yes I too am way to cheap to pay out money for a rental.

Change out the word cheap with "smart" is what I'd say.  If WGT would put the rental fee toward the purchase if you buy within a certain time frame, then I think more people would pay to rent. I sure would.

If you pay and don't like, it only cost a small amount to find out. but if you pay and do like, then the cost goes up after you add the rental fee to the purchase cost.  Not going to do it.

But if you had the assurance that your rental fee would be put toward the cost if you like it, then it takes away from the sting to pay for a rental.  IMO at least.
