Lottery wind

  A good thing or a bad thing?   Should WGT make it so that every player entering an event plays the same wind?  Or would that allow a few (not to be named) TL's play the same event with both of their accounts and pick up a stroke or two?

  I think they should make it all the same.  One of the game current best players told me that (paraphrasing), "if the PGA of America could make the weather the same for every player, they'd do it.  Just to ensure that no player felt they were at a disadvantage."  I tend to agree. 

  BTW:  I messaged WGT about this issue on Wednesday of last week and they've let to respond back to me.  This would be the first time they've not emailed me back.  Makes me wonder why they won't email me back. 

  What say you?

  Actually, I've posted pretty much exactly what you're saying a few times myself. WGT didn't respond then either. I really don't see how any advantage could be gained. I pretty much know what the weather is when I hit a real course, and with some fluctuations, everyone on the course will be subject to the same conditions.

  Single play events - absolutely they should be the same.  Take St Andys as an example.  With just moderate winds there are 5 holes that are potential Eagles (by putting) if you get the right wind set, and one of them is a difficult birdie without the right winds (#14).  A 5-6 stroke advantage in a 1000 credit RG is a little ridiculous.

  Unlimited play - doesn't matter anyway as you can keep restarting until you get the wind in your favor.

  I think if games are played within a time limit span, then yes they should get the  same wind and direction.

  In other words if  people play within a  2 hour span yes they should get the same. I know the wind can change at any time,but your not going to have a 15 tail , and then in 10 min have a 20 head that is just not going to happen.

  If I was on your level.... (RG player, VT player) I'd be very bothered by this.  One hole with good wind or bad wind could make all of the difference.

  Yeah. It's an old debate. 

  SP one guy is putting for eagle. Another is struggling for close GIR. Pretty much inherently unfair.

  How?  lol.  Looking back at the VT Par 5 event... that thing was so unfair.  I watched about 5 recorded rounds and... I'll just stop.  IMO, this is such bull**** and WGT needs to fix it.  

  PS:  I read that thread.  What a complete joke.  I also bumped it.  Not sure if it will ever make it back to the forums but I tried.  IMO, this is the worst part of WGT and they must be refusing to change it for a reason.
